OF course Froch is better but Miranda, Green or Paul Smith aren't any better than Lacy same with Mack and even Goves hasn't a better resume than Lacy yet

Difference is that Clazaghe fought a prime Kessler while Ward fought an out of shape Kessler in his hometown with his personal referee and he used his head as a third glove.

Ward didn't lose a round to prime Kessler. Joe fought an evenly matched competitive fight with him that deserved a rematch but Joe wasn't interested.
Kessler was on Calaghe's level. He wasn't on Ward level.

 

I saw both fights. One was competitive , the other was a blow out. Kessler was prime in BOTH fights. End of.

 

When you beat someone 116-112, 116-112 and 117-111 it's doesn't warrant a rematch.

Ward didn't lose a round because he fouled from the beginning with a referee that allowed him to get away with it.

But facts remain Calzaghe beat a undefeated, prime Kessler. Now even if you think Ward beat a "prime" Kessler even you have to admit it was Calzaghe's leftovers....

For an alleged master boxer Ward certainly couldn't outbox the supposed slugger.

 

Kovalev came to the second fight with bad intentions and pushed the pace. He was outlanding Ward by a landslide. Problem is, his stamina isn't up to scratch and Ward, let's give him credit, has good stamina and is always well conditioned.

However, Calzaghe has a higher workrate than Kovalev and his gas tank is unlimited.

Kessler was never the same after the longer break after the Häussler fight in 2008.
Before Kessler was a sharp precised boxer/puncher/brawler with a great one-two combo after the break he was only a brawler and lacked precision . That was still enough to win a belt in a close fight with Froch and a paper belt vs Magee

 

That also wrong check your facts Kessler won 2 rounds of 10 at 2 judges scorecards and 3 of 10 on the third and in every other location in the World the referee would have taken 1 or 2 points from Ward for headbutts
