I hate seeing boxing stoop to WWE level, I hate seeing Dana White's fat face on a boxing stage. But man, that was pure comedy gold. Conor owned Floyd so bad it was ridiculous. Can't wait for the next one. I hope Floyd will realize that none of the crowd is with him and will stop this "hard work" nonsense. He should just focus on his money and the tapout thing. That is pretty much his only hope

I definitely wouldn't pay $100 for this fight, that is an absolute robbery. But here in Ireland the max I will have to pay is €25. Likewise in the UK.

I know the outcome of the fight, Floyd will win easily. But I'm not going to sit at home watching crap on the telly when I can buy this circus for €20-€25.

You can call it scripted WWE type entertainment but this is how McGregor is in every press conference he does. He's a really funny guy and most of it is straight off the bat.

And you can see the genuine anger in his face when he's squaring up to Floyd. This may be easy work for Floyd and I personally don't give Conor a hope. But he believes he can win and what you're seeing with him is genuine belief, anger and comedy. That's just Conor McGregor.

The actual best line of the whole thing was McGregor talking about suits (again) and Floyd walks over to Dana White and did the whole 'rich people don't wear suits'. Conor mumbled something about Ellerbe........sorry son, but you just got subtly owned by an idiot.

I can argue this because McGregor is 28, Mayweather is 41. McGregor has fought at 175, Mayweather never past 150. McGregor has better punch resistance and hits harder than Floyd. McGregor has that spark that few individuals have to make unbelievable things happen.

Its still a moot argument though, because McGregor is not a boxer. Mayweather is an extrodinary boxer. Mayweather also rigs his fights. Theres also a video of McGregor getting schooled in sparring. but that was an old video, and he only needs to learn the fundamentals.

I get all that...I do however think he has maybe a 16% chance because he is going to bring the proper strategy for the fight. KO Mayweather early.

So many boxers bring the wrong strategy for the fight, even at a high level, or don't press when they should...sometimes I feel like screaming at them. I think McGregor is smart enough to do the right thing.

I think Mayweather has taken easier fights than this.

Everything is possible, Floyd could have became old overnight. I slowly get into the hype, not sure whom to support. Floyd annoys me with the money talk but he represents our sport. McGregor is charismatic, he is the underdog and I always support the underdog but I don't like MMA fans.

I believe that Floyd is able to win easily, but I also think that McGregor could shock the world due to a lucky punch, being the way bigger guy and youth but absolutely no way in outboxing Floyd. This is just impossible. He's also not going to hurt him with a savage bodypunch like I would expect GGG to hurt Floyd (because GGG would have a hard time landing a clean punch on Floyd, he could trouble him on the ropes though with savage power).
McGregor can only win, if he is confident, going all in, trying to hurt Floyd like Maidana did while not caring about getting hit.

I personally don't see McGregor landing a glove on Mayweather but If I was asked to make a case for McGregor then all I could say is..

The only thing McGregor has in his favour is that he isn't a boxer, I believe he will be very unorthodox and unpredictable, he will probably look quite funny and clumsy trying to box against one of the best boxers in recent years.

Mayweather will read him within a couple of minutes, more likely seconds but because McGregor isn't a boxer and hasn't been drilled in a gym for years and years he may get a minute or so to do something, after that it's all down hill and it will be a one sided embarrassment for McGregor.

    food for thought.

how much does McGregor MMA experience translate into boxing experience. Surely not 0.

and he has time to prepare by sparring.

I think he can learn rather quickly

Pretty much 0 in terms of boxing skillset. No way he can learn what he needs in the time given. The hard part is putting everything together.

When fight night comes he is going to look like an amatuer (or worse) flapping around in the wind or brawling like a drunk...EVEN if he had some supernatural ability to learn 5 or 10 years worths of skills in 1 year - So what? He still ain't beating Floyd.

little 122 pound Rigo would KO him.

Floyd could probably take Conor's best straight left flush and walk it off!

The only fail/surprise here would be if Floyd can't stop this man. Then again Floyd hasn't been a fighter able to hunt for KO's since his early 140 days over 10 years ago with his hand issues...
