Nah, I'm a true believer in expect the unexpected. We said the same KO easy stuff about Pac vs Horn and look at the outcome. I'm no longer doubting what can happen anymore when it comes to longshots.

At the end of the day the public demanded for this fight. Don't understand how people can be so critical about a fight the people made. This fight would have never happened if it wasn't in demand.

 

Horn was a legitimate fringe contender, not a 0-0 fighter crossing over from MMA.

 

The masses are being exploited, and even then many casuals who aren't brain dead know this is a blatant cash grab and a joke.

 

But they still want to tune in and watch the event. It's a massive event and millions of people are excited for it. We've never see a top MMA guy transition into boxing. I'm curious to see if McGregor can win a round or 2 against this shot old Floyd. What if Conor's power at 154 against Floyd is too much for him? **** I'm excited! What an event.

 

So why is it acceptable for boxers to do MMA but not the other way around? Or is it about WHO the MMA guy is fighting?

Stop playing dumb. The only times boxers have crossed into MMA at reasonably high profile it was an old shot Toney desperate for cash and the whole event was a joke. I ordered that fight for Penn/Edgar II, and Couture/Toney was a complete farce and an insult to anyone with intelligence. To me that was anything but ok....

I rarely post nowdays, but once again, like in the leadup to Mayweather-Pacquiao, every single thread related to Mayweather-McGregor is being piled up into a shithole that is this thread.

There are some specifics to this event that can be discussed intelligently, but when its tossed into a shithole salad of nonsense that runs over 200 pages long, who the hell cares to even attempt to discuss anything intelligently related to this event.

This is just a reminder to me why I rarely post post in this **** crap called a boxing forum.

 

i dont get it myself. if its about consolidating garbage into one thread, why dont mvc's threads get all put into one dumpster like this? whats the criteria being used for determining what subjects need to be consolidated so they dont clutter up the forum, and who decides what fights deserve only one thread?
