I know. That's what I said. Having the bar too low on the shoulders sometimes causes that issue. That or you have a weak lower back.
This conversation makes no sense. I said the squats felt like more of a back workout than leg. You replied saying that the bar might not be up far enough on my front shoulders close to my neck. Are you just talking about another point entirely?
How does it make no sense? I'm saying either your form was off i.e. bar too low putting more pressure on your back or you have a weak lower back.
"How high is the bar sitting for your front squats? If it doesn't feel pretty uncomfortable on your throat you don't have the bar high enough. Usually the issue when people feel it in their back more as the weight shifts forward." You are referring to front squats here not back squats.
Why do you keep on saying that? Of course I'm referring to front squats, I haven't said a thing about back squats. I don't see how you're confused by what I've said. This is it again in a nutshell - I'm saying either your form was off i.e. bar too low putting more pressure on your back or you have a weak lower back.
You're referring to them as if they were the lift I was having problems on when in fact it was back squats that I felt were more of a back workout than a leg workout. "It was squats that felt like they were stressing my back more than my legs" your reply "I know. That's what I said. Having the bar too low on the shoulders sometimes causes that issue. That or you have a weak lower back."
The confusion there is because you said 'squats' instead of 'back squats'. Front squats are squats as well.
Everyone in the weightlifting community knows that squats refer to back squats. Nobody ever refers to front squats as squats. In fact, in powerlifting they just call it the squat. You really don't have to try and look like the smartest person in the room every single thread. ****ing hell. I try to help you and you start acting like a *****. DW is correct. If you refer to front squats then say squats in the next sentence then obviously I'm going to think you're referring to front squats, hence the confusion. If you'd outright said squats, then yes, I would think back squats, but you didn't.
I've never tried to be the smartest person in the room, you're just dumb. I never said squats and front squats in the same sentence on the original post. I never even referred to squats as back squats. I always said squats in reference to back squats. Never mentioned back squats until you started incorrectly trying to diagnose me.
What's your problem? Why are you so upset? I tried giving you advice and you're insulting me. Grow up, mate.
