2.6 million views, broke the record for HBO boxing since 2006. That's a lot of viewers for Canelo to fight someone like Kirkland.

If Mayweather-Gregor prove to be boring, people will naturally blame Floyd Mayweather, and I'm sure they know that Mayweather may play it too safe and make it a boring event like the Pac-May fight... I'm sure most combat sport fans saw the Pac-May fight, and know what to expect from Mayweather. Based on the pressers most people are rooting for Connor.

If the fight is indeed boring they will run to Canelo-GGG to get the bad taste out of their mouths like they did with Canelo-Kirkland, and it will raise Canelo's and GGG's stock.

Also big fights on Sept.16 and 5 de Mayo are a tradition, and very important for the boxing industry. The Canelo-GGG fight is already sold out, and they're adding closed circuits for those unable to purchase tickets but what the Vegas-Boxing experience.

MMA fans aren't coverting to boxing, especially not through Mayweather who is likely going to stink up the joint. They are used to and clamour for the blood and guts type fight they have been accustomed to and demand.

My biggest concern for McGregor is of course, his conditioning. He gets fatigued fairly easy and he stays mostly on his feet. I don't think he can throw 400 punches and it seems he's a one handed fighter. He has no jab, no combinations, just tries to land the left. Well see on fight night but I think Floyd even in old age toys with him UD

How did he get exposed? Y
How did he get exposed exactly? You do know that FLoyd gets paid in Checks not in cash. Did you forget the $100,000,000 check he had in his backpack ?

These pressors are the real show. 2 loudmouths spewing insults at eachother on the big stage.

WWE sold as a real fight lol

Very muted crowd... they haven't shown the audience yet (probably empty seats like the other 2 conferences). Conference was delayed by 1.5 hours (probably event planners scrambling to get random passerbys to come in).

This is embarrassing... the speaker is trying to rile up the crowd, but they're not responding. Very quiet.

To be entirely honest, I remember through-out the 90's that people wished it was the 70's or 80's boxing scene again. It is easy to look back at the great contests that occur within an era because they are memorable, the bad stuff, the ducking and bad decisions get forgotten. The late 80's and 90's in my opinion was heavily tarnished with corruption in boxing, you never knew what fights were 'real' or which guy had been paid to fall. Bowe very publicly ducking Lewis, the Tyson/Holyfield fights.. there was a lot of bad stuff too.

Today I think boxing is in the ascendancy and in a good spot.. there are some awesome talents around now and some great match-ups to be found.

I mean in general, not only boxing. The fight Mayweather Jr. vs. McGregor only reflects in what kind of world we live in right now.
