Floyd was definitely on his tippy toes against Canelo the way he was reacting to feints the entire fight.

Canelo is a very tricky fighter. One thing I noticed about Canelo's game is that he couldnt effectively counter off the ropesl like he usually does, Floyd has some long punches and would just tag Canelo from the outside.

 

Floyd won pretty clearly. But he stacked the deck as usual.

Canelo today at 154 - a proper 154 - would thump him. IMHO of course.

The best punches in round 2 were :
- the two hard jabs that Floyd landed with 50-45 seconds left in the round
- the two clean left hooks that Canelo landed in the round
- a counter jab (head, body) combo that Canelo got in with exactly 2 minutes left in the round that was a counter of a Floyd jab that was partially blocked.

In this round Canelo blocked a lot of punches and parried multiple punches successfully. Canelo also finished the round strong as Floyd missed a lot of his jabs in the final 30 seconds of the round while Canelo finished the round strong by landing some jabs to the body in the final 30 seconds and a left hook that landed clean on Floyd.

The Way Canelo finished the round and landed the bigger punches won him Round 2. Also unbelievably Canelo successfully feinted Floyd an unheard of fight-high 14 times in this round. In Round 2, Floyd tried to feint Canelo twice, and the first time Floyd feinted, Canelo didn't react or flinch at all, and the 2nd time Floyd feinted Canelo, Canelo countred Floyd's feint with a feint of his own that caused Floyd to lose his balance to. 10-9 Canelo, after 2 rounds . . . 19-19.

 

please don't try and claim that canelo won the fight, canelo said after that he couldn't get near floyd and couldn't catch him and he was too fast, floyd won the fight no debate.

Well you have to go through it round by round before you can make a statement like somebody won the fight. If you can't explain who won the rounds, if you can't show which punches someone won the round then saying somebody won the fight no debate means nothing since you haven't done anything to show how it isn't a debate. I challenge anybody to show which punches and which moments caused Floyd to win each round. I'm going through it round by round so rather then just make a blanket statement like Floyd just won because but then give no reason actually get into the rounds and discuss how Floyd won some of these rounds. I'm not saying he didn't win all I'm saying is go though it round by round you can arrive it a wide range of scores. I think by the time I go through all 12 rounds my scoring will make sense to you. I will give you reasons why someone won a round so if you disagree you can point out specific moments in the round where you thought the other guy won it if you disagree.

 

I had Canelo winning round 4 and rounds 11/12 being close. 117-111 at best.

 

Hmm. This is the first I've heard this opinion, spare for the judge that was forced into retirement for thinking how she felt.

 

Round 3 is one of harder to score rounds, it was really a roller coaster of a round. Canelo started the round with a jab to Floyd's chest and finished the round with a stiff jab to Floyd's face. In this round there was a moment where Floyd threw a left-left-right 3 punch combo, the first and last punch were mostly blocked by Canelo but the 2nd punch, a left straight that Floyd got in and surprised Canelo and landed. This was one of those moments that looked good for Floyd in real-time and it was probably Floyd's biggest moment of the round, but when taking a closer look at the combo, Canelo actually blocked 2/3s of that combination, that left straight in the middle of the combo landed for Floyd, but we need to keep that whole combination in perspective when we compare it to the punches that Canelo landed. A lot of people probably scored the round for Floyd due to that 3 punch combination. That middle left straight did land, and it’s kind of a hard punch to rate, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a punch land at such an odd angle like that before.

It seemed like Floyd was on his way to winning the round, but then Canelo was landing punches of his own as the round went on, making this a hard to score round. Take a look at the sequence starting with 1 minute left in the round. Floyd is backing up towards the ropes and moving to his left. Canelo is walking him down, well with 52 left left in the round Floyd throws a jab, it lands on the side of Canelo’s face but Canelo was avoiding the punch and setting up a counter, it didn’t land on Canelo that hard but Canelo counters it with a jab of his own that lands on Floyd’s chin and Floyd crashes into the ropes. Floyd then moves to his left along the ropes then he circles back to his right still against the ropes and right into a hard Canelo jab with 48 seconds left. Floyd leaned back heard into the ropes trying to avoid it but he wasn’t fast enough. That’s how quick and impressive Canelo’s counter jabs were. Nobody lands punches like that on Floyd, and that punch landed, and it was possibly the best punch of the round. Floyd leaned back hard there but he wasn’t fast enough to avoid that punch. This is a key moment of round 3 that swung the round in Canelo’s favor. That sequence of counter punching by Canelo and landing stiff jabs with Floyd circling on the ropes I thought was better and more impressive than that 3 punch combo by Floyd. (where only 1 to of the 3 punches actually landed)

There was a moment towards the end of the round where Canelo threw a one-two left jab, right hand to the body : the right hand landed flush on Floyd’s body, but Floyd immediately countered with a left hook that landed flush right on the side of Canelo’s face. (not particularly hard but right on the side of the face unblocked) Both men landed jabs throughout the round, but Canelo blocked more punches. Canelo landed more punches to the body, Canelo threw 5 left hooks in the round, some of which landed glancingly, some of which Floyd avoided.

Another thing Canelo was doing throughout this round was slipping some of Floyd’s jabs. Floyd did land some very good jabs in this round, but out of all the total jabs Floyd threw, the vast majority of them were slipped, blocked, parried or countered by Canelo. This was a extremely close round because you could argue that Floyd deserved to win the round with that combo and the jabs that did get through. In an extremely close toss up round like this, sometimes the last punch of the round can win a fighter the round. Canelo landed a stiff jab right at the end of the round to punctuate the round. It’s really hard for me to give Floyd this round with he counter punching Canelo did and the blocking and slipping of Floyd’s jabs.

Canelo feinted Floyd 2 times successfully in this round. That’s a total of 24 successful feints by Canelo after 3 rounds. I scored the round 10-9 for Canelo. and have it 29-28 Canelo after 3 rounds.

but the fight is done, no one called robbery, canelo's team didn't contest the decision, the only controversy was how 1 judge gaveit a draw, i've never seen anyone since the fight argue that Canelo won. So whatever you say about how did floyd actually win the rounds is wrong because no one has ever argued canelo won, so if you argue that he won the fight or it was a draw then you are in fact deluded and wrong.
