What evidence is this? How are you defining intellect?
In terms of book savvy, I doubt it. It's just not where he focusses his intellectual pursuits on. He managed to make it to High School but how far can he really go when he won Olympic Gold in his senior High School year lol.

Being semi-illiterate, having low IQ, joining any cult that he came into contact with, being screwed out of his money - any pursuit you can name outside of the ring he'd probably find very difficult.

But all you have are suspicions based on personal opinion with no solid evidence to support them besides personal opinion. So until evidence to the contrary is provided we would have to assume that they are telling the truth. It's the same principle we apply in the courtroom when we assume innocence until the accused is proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt.

    BTW
Any unqualified generalization is proven false by one counterexample. You have been provided with multiple counterexamples in addition to the Klitscho brothers.

I worry that people believe anything that they see on TV.

We're not in a courtroom. I don't follow "innocent until proven guilty."

I'm going to conclude whatever we have the strongest evidence for is the truth (unless all evidence is super weak).

And the lack of publications is a lot stronger evidence than anything else.

He was on Conan a few years back and I think that show really exposed his persona. He's actually pretty humble guy who doesn't like to be in the spotlight and prefers to do his own thing without caring how people might see him. It's quite sad how in today's society shy introverts like him are thought to be intellectually stunted.

Well, then you are using fallacious reasoning since your premise is flawed.
Why is it flawed? Simple, because the rules of cogent reasoning remain the same in or outside of a court of law.
Also, your claim that your perceived absence of evidence is evidence of absence is also flawed. In any case, if that's the opinion you wish to hold, then suit yourself. Let's just agree to disagree. Otherwise this kind of back and forth can go on interminably. Peace!

    Also, No...

That just isn't true. Like at all. Like by the definition of, "generalization."

Generalizations are not hard and fast rules.

Overgeneralizations are hard and fast rules and your statement that Floyd is dumb because he is an athlete falls into that category.

    BTW
That's what I meant by UNQUALIFIED generalization-an overgeneralization.

The "innocent until proven guilty" thing isn't about logic... It's about morality, ethics, human rights.

And yeah, I really don't care enough about this topic to waste hours on it. As we're doing for some reason.

All right. I give up. Believe whatever you want.

Lol, he has the highest IQ ever seen in and outside the ring, dude. He couldnt have been smarter, not a single fighter was smarter than him.

Not knowing how to read doesnt mean you are dumb, it just means you havent learnt to. If you dont understand that, maybe you should reformulate the question in another way.

Floyd having his daughter on stage was weak. Probably hoping Conor would take it easier on him with his daughter there. Hopefully in the UK tonight Conor will go nutso, daughter or not
