Ken Buchanan was great, read it years ago and can still remember the part about how he gets drunk and heads of to America looking for Duran to have the rematch there and then!

I'm a fan of Eubanks but his book is not great, wasn't a fan of Nigel benn but really liked his book.

Donal McRae's The Dark Trade - brilliant accounts of a number of boxers, the Toney material is particularly compelling.

Four Kings and Hands of Stone both cover great fighters in great eras. I found both to be stodgily written but well worth reading for the details.

Another recommend for This Bloody Mary... by Jonathan Rendall. His book on gambling 12 Grand is a great read, and his post-humously published book on Tyson "Scream: the Tyson Tapes" is... unsettling.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Unforgivable Blackness, the Jack Johnson book.

It is an absolute page turner! Do yourselves a favour and give it a read, what a crazy life.
