It's never a waste of time if that sort of stuff is what you're into. Again, no-one is saying this circus act is not a big event, and it sure as hell will be entertaining to some but it's also a mockery to boxing. Guy with 49 fights fighting a guy with 0 fights. Guy with 49 victories, gets 50th victory. SMH.

And for the record, David Haye is a circus act himself, no surprise he will be there.

I'm not a big fan of MMA, but the odds of McGregor winning have dropped from 10/1 to 4/1 with some bookies. So people are actually backing him with their hard earned money!

So before writing him off I thought I'd better take a look at him. I watched his two fights against Nate Diaz. What I like about McGregor is he stays on his feet, or tries to from what I saw, which makes him far more entertaining than most UFC fighters, but I gotta say, I saw nothing that would make me think that he has any kind of reasonable chance of beating Mayweather in a boxing ring. Absolutely nothing.

He has two punches in his armoury, a left hook and a straight left, and that's it. He feints with his right, then throws his left. Every time! EVERY TIME! :D These mutts he has been facing at the UFC need to grow a brain. He doesn't throw combinations, he doesn't have the footwork of a boxer, he doesn't have the stamina, he doesn't have the balance, he doesn't have the movement, he was blowing out of his arse after 8 minutes in the two UFC fights I saw, at which time he was getting caught at will by a tomato can, and that was in both fights, not just the first one which he lost!

So how on earth will he beat Mayweather? I can understand the trash talk but people are actually backing him with real money. What are they seeing that I'm missing?

One thing's for sure, they're trying hard to hype this thing and make it appear like Conor has a chance. All those pressers are simply pathetic and so WWE-ish it's unreal, but dumb****s keep cheering "conor owned floyd", "floyd the king of trashtalking" etc., while those two act like clowns for an hour or two and then laugh their asses of while thinking what they'll do with that $.
Something tells me that most of the people who felt cheated by Floyd vs Pac fight will buy this one as well :D cuz' you know... doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is not a proof of certain mental condition.

Maybe a joke match but it can't actually be a worse fight than Floyd Pacq. Impossible.

If McGregor takes his time and doesn't gas out in trying so hard he might be able to make 12 rounds which is a great achievement.

He will probably get stopped in them mid rounds when he nothing left to offer.

Easy to just say Mayweather KO but don't underestimate how bad his hands are. Total glass.

Sorry but anyone who thinks mcgregor has a chance isn't a proper boxing fan imo. It's just ridiculous

I can't even take it serious, it's all probably rigged anyway

Because of how easily and often Floyd will hit McGregor, and questions about McGregor's stamina in a 12 round boxing match.

It's not really about whether boxing or UFC is more tiring, it's just that McGregor has trained his body specifically for the style and rules of UFC. He's going into a new sport, and will be missing punches repeatedly, as well as being hit often. This will likely take a toll on his stamina.

The press conferences really shows these guys up. It's a pretty pathetic show, maywearher strutting around "yeeaahhh". Christ it's funny how ridiculous it is :ciappa:

It should be marketed as a WWE exhibition then it wouldn't be such an embarrassment to boxing.

4 to 1 is insane. I would put $$ on Floyd with those odds. 100 to 1 is more accurate.

I am having some fun being a trolling dickhead on YT and insulting all the people who are picking Conor and telling them they are complete ****ing morons.

How hard is it to realize that boxing and MMA are two different sports? Mayweather would get beaten badly in the Octagon and Conor will lose badly in the boxing ring.

People actually think Conor being an amateur boxer as a teen and a few months of boxing training is sufficient enough for him to beat Floyd in boxing :imwithstupid:

Yeah, the only way McGregor has a chance of not losing, is if a banana skin is thrown into the ring just as the bell goes, Mayweather then slips on said banana skin, cracks his head on the stool and falls into a coma for two weeks.

If someone wants to back McGregor at 4/1, in the slim hope that Mayweather gets a freak injury, well good luck to them!
