    Wow, that's different. You'd think the promoters would let HBO know the number of rounds had been changed. Disappointed Smith didn't even bother trying to go for it in the final round.

    I stand corrected. Reese had it right. Hard to imagine why you wouldn't want your fighter to have a full 12 rounds to work. Smith's promoters must have thought that he was going to KO Barrera so it wouldn't matter.

    That's a level of ridiculous corruption ... promoter shortens fight midway through?

    Could they have made it a six- or eight-rounder?

    How in the f--- does that happen? If it was contracted for 12, shouldn't the commission enforce the contracts and not the whims of the promoter?

    Barrera has a weak Chin. Every time Smith landed a punch it affected him. I say Kovalev KOes him.
