Why all the hate with Eubank Jr?

Can't stand his dad lol.. They are almost as deluded as Wilder. Charging PPV for fights that would struggle to get big views on free prime time TV.

Unlike Wilder he's rather talented but much like Wilder he has a big mouth and talks about fightting the best but his actions don't prove that.. He prices himself out when big fights are on the table (I guess it's his dad that prices Jr out of fights) his dad is known to be very difficult to negotiate with.. Both Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn have said this.

Eubank Sr even said his son is a bigger star than AJ LMAO.. Oh and he said that Eubanks vs Quinlan would do more PPV than Mayweather vs Pacquiao.. 6 million is the number he predicted! It was somewhat short of that number at around 60k to 89k reportedly.

I used to hate his dad. I was a big Nigel Benn fan.

Me and my mate spotted him driving his big, ridiculous truck down Oxford Street in London years ago. My mate shouted "Euuuuuuubank!". He then stopped his truck in the middle of Oxford Street, reversed it, and had a massive grin on his face and gave us a big wave, then drove off again.

Always thought he was alright after that.

 

That a nice story Jezza.. I'm sure he's a nice man. I think he can be amusing to listen to and look at the way he dresses. I respected both Eubank and Benn as fighters and didn't really choose 1 side to be a fan of. It's not the fighter I dislike.. It's the delusion father who I believe is messing up Jr's career.

I've never met him and don't have any personal fond memories of him like you do.. But he still wants to charge me PPV for fights that are undercard material.

 

The hate? It's not hate, it's criticism and in my opinion it's justified.

It's not just the performance tonight, it was one sided tonight, not even competitive and that's really the point.

Jr lost to Saunders, then went the WBA route and got in to a mandatory position and when it was time to fight Jacobs walked away and went back to domestic level.

Jr then asked for a Saunders rematch again, kept calling Saunders out, then he was given it, didn't sign and walked away from that.

And we all know about Golovkin, kept calling out Golovkin, Hearn got him his wish and he didn't sign the contract and missed out on a huge PPV event and multi millions.

After walking away from all those opportunities he beats a couple of domestic level fighters, beats an 11-1 Quinlan to win the IBO title, walks around with the belt for weeks on end and has the nerve to call himself a world champion.

Then tonight he fights a 37 year old, way past his best, faded AA and yes it was one sided but Jr couldn't tuck him away.

So there are lots of reasons Jr does not get the respect Sr, Jr himself and his fans seem to think he deserves, he seems to avoid real competition yet insists he is the real deal, so quite a lot of people think he is a joker and does not deserve or justify the hype.

Like I said earlier tonight, if he was called Chris Smith then he would hardly get a mention.

 

Jr is a good fighter its the way he carries himself I dont like. Too much bad attitude vibe coming off the man
