Golovkin flew all the way to the UK because Eubank said he would fight him, when Golovkin finally got there Eubank chickened out.....................Eubank had his chance to fight Golovkin, so now he will have to wait. Eubank lost to Saunders, LOL!
N17 pretty much sums it up CEJ gets hate because he is just like that American basketball player HW with the windmills. He runs around calling himself the greatest, and that he will fight anyone, whilst fighting bums and rotting corpses. Its embarrassing and he has turned himself into a joke. PPV 1 against an 11-1 bum and PPV2 against an old rotting corpse. Come on man
though its interesting to see the 3G fans slating eubank for having a crap belt and making fake defences, when its the only one 3G had for 2/3rds of his defences. That said, 3G has shown his class by making 6 or 7 defences of actual real world title since then.
He will fight anybody. . That can't be disputed anymore after he voluntarily entered a tournament that pits the best against the best. GGG just walked away from a Billy Joe Saunders fight because he wanted money and not the titles. CEJ fought BJS when he was young , green and underdeveloped. He's been chasing after DeGeals teeth non-stop. All this proves that it was GGG who bailed out and not Eubank. Fighting welter weight Brook fit right into his career long goals of calling out and fighting lower weight guys.
For the record most of the posters on here who hate Chris Eubank Jr. hated him way before he was mentioned as a potential GGG opponent, including myself. I've been consistent with my dislike of him. Stop grasping at straws, all things in the world of Boxing don't trace back to goddamn GGG. Maybe its all of you who are too obsessed and make everything about GGG as opposed to his fanboys. CEJ is easy as hell to dislike, how can any of you not see that? Or at least pretend to not see that.
I dislike his personality, as well as his fathers personality. Also, i dislike the way he gets onto twitter spats with fighters which have absoluty no relevance to him, for example tony bellew, brook when he was fighting spend etc. However as a fighter he is exciting to watch, and now with him entering the super series tournament, potential flights with smith and groves will give us a real insight to his potential.
If this was july of 2016, you'd be calling him domestic level prospect because of his proposed fight with GGG. You feel safe to make a ridicuolus claim now that the fight isn't gonna happen any time soon. Jr never destroyed Someone worth mentioning in his life, and he'd still lose to GGG, Jacobs and Saunders.
Yeah. A guy who looks baffled against a good jab, who can't get out of the way of a quick right hand to save his life who's also sucker for a counter left hook with Limited footwork and questionable balance is all wrong for GGG. "Lmao"
If you wanna play that Game, Golovkin worked hard for months to get the fight with Jacobs whereas CEJ outright ducked DJ. At least GGG turned down Saunders to fight The Ring champ and a p4p top10 opponent.
I don't dislike him and indeed have stuck up for him in the past when people have accused him of riding his dad's coat tails. However, it gets more difficult to do when they are putting him on PPV against Quinlan and a past it Abraham. As has been said above, if his name was Chris Smith, there is no way this sh*t would be on PPV. That, more than anything, I think is people's beef with him.
Pity he didn't work hard for months to get the Eubank fight. He jumped ship to Brook at the first opportunity he got.
