    A terrible post.

    There is no superior, modern technique.

    Mike wouldn't be crippled by his height, because he had great speed, great power, and a unique style. The biggest HW's would find it extremely hard to time him. In a fight against a guy like Wilder, Wilder's size would actually become a disadvantage for him.

    I wonder if people **** as much on Ali back in the 70's when he was doing similar, nonsensical events, or if they would have if there was an internet.

    Ripped prime Ali was about 215.

    That's only about 10 lbs lighter than Brewster and Sanders weighed when they defeated Wlad.

    With some fat on 210 pounds.

    With some more 215.

    Even more 220+

    Just compare ripped klitscho or Joshua at 240+ with fat Ali at 215....

    Wlad was knocked out by the 6'2 Lamon Brewster, Tyson Fury was almost knocked out by the 6'2 / 6'3 190 pound Steve Cunningham. Anthony Joshua was knocked out by the 6'0 Mihai Nistor. You people might didn't know this but their is a weight class not a height class. That being said, the same people who make these stupid threads still think the 5'10 180 pound Marciano and the 6'0 170 pound Gene Tunney could beat modern sized heavyweights. The stupidity is strong here.

    The lightest Ali weighed after he won the heavyweight championship the first time was 204.5 (against Mildenberger). He was 214.5 against Chuvalo the first time, and was fat in any way, shape, or form. For the last three fights of his first championship run, he was around 212, and again, was pretty ripped.

    Sorry to let the facts get in the way of your story.

    The most stupid thing I hear is how Povetkin, Haye etc are too small to compete with modern super heavyweights, but somehow Ali could compete. You can't have it both ways.

    Haye and Povetkin have more of a chance because they can both punch hard.
