Learn your history, Sons; Ernie Terrell was 6'6.

He was also 210 pounds, so Terrell does not count as a super heavyweight. Terrell is very light compared to even a average fighter of today.

He had the reach of a super heavyweight which is what we are talking here. People think Ali would have trouble because of the reach/height. He proved he wouldn't because he toyed with and dominated Terrell for the entire fight.

Ali took Foreman's, Frazier's, and Shaver's best punches. Nobody today hits harder than them. Ali could take a 250 lbs fighter's best shots. He'd knock 'em all out because they get tired halfway through the fight and would get even tired when they miss 90% of their punches because Ali is too fast for them.

Ali KO 8 over everyone in the division today.

The title says tall super heavyweights, which Terrell is not. Terrell is tall, but not a super heavyweight, Terrell is a small heavyweight only 210 pound. Today a average heavyweight is 235 pounds. Fury, Joshua, Wlad are tall super heavyweights, and look nothing like skinny weak looking Terrell.

Frazier and Shavers only had serious KO power against the very small heavyweights that would not be allowed to fight at heavyweight today. They have nothing like the power of a modern super heavyweight.

Please, Kareem Abdul Jabar was a hell of a basketball player, an athlete, and 7 feet tall, but Ali would have taxed that ass. With the skills Ali possessed he would have really hurt Jabar if that fight had ever come about. There's a lot more to boxing than size.

However, since I'm reminded of Bruce Lee training Jabar in martial arts, I think Ali would have beaten Bruce Lee just with his size advantage. 8 inches and 70 pounds is too much for almost anybody. Holyfield or Haye beating Valuev was an exception because Valuev was so unexceptional. Same thing with Hong Man Choi getting his ass kicked by Buakaw at kickboxing or Fedor Emelianenko arm barring Tim Sylvia in mma. You need a massive gulf in skill to overcome those kinds of height and weight discrepancies. That's the kind of skill difference you'd probably see between Ali and Jabar or Ali and Tyson Fury by the way.

But 6'2" and 6'3" guys beat 6'6" guys every day. A three inch twenty pound advantage isn't unsurmountable. Ernie Terrell was 6'6", George Foreman was 6'4", Chuck Wepner was 6'5", Joe Bugner was 6'4", Richard Dunn was 6'4" and Ali knocked them all out. I'd favor Ali, a prime Ali, not an old deteriorated Ali against anybody in history largely because of his speed and ability to take a punch. He would make the big guys look foolish and uncoordinated.

    You ducked my post.

The reason people are saying that Ali loses is because of reach. I already disproved this argument. Not going to repeat it.

Frazier knocked out a 6'3 243 lb Buster Mathis. Shavers knocked out 225 lb 6'3 Ken Norton in 1 rd. I notice you didn't say that Foreman had nothing like the power of a modern shw. That's good because you will have looked like a total idiot. But not as much of an idiot as you look now because Ali (who fought both) said Shavers hit him the hardest his career. Holmes did too and Holmes fought shws. So did Tillis who fought Morrison and Bruno.

You have no idea about what you talk about. Shut up and learn something.

prime for prime, talent for talent, skill for skill, speed for speed, chin for chin, heart for heart, I would not pick any of todays guys to go 15 rounds with the greatest of all time who was no midget at 6' 3".

Thats right I said 15 rounds that is the standard.

Vitali Klitschko and Lennox Lewis would have eaten Mohammud Ali for breakfast.

No chance for Ali against either of those 2.

Briggs summed it up perfectly when Wilder said he would knock Joe Louis out. Times change, sports science changes. Hell, even evolution plays its part, as men where generally shorter and lighter. It doesn't change how great he was in his time.

Having height in boxing only means there is more body for your opponent to hit. I would always rather box a fighter taller than me than one shorter. It is much easier to punch up than down.

In the heavyweight division it usually means more than just that. They're usually bigger units, in both height and weight.

Now that doesn't mean the bigger man will always win though, but in today's boxing the larger elite fighters seem to be ruling the division.
