I think his age could very well be accurate. Tyson Fury has looked much older than he actually is since bursting on to the pro scene.

The force of the Firat Arslan stopped Goran Delic, who was completely overwhelmed, only up to the sixth round. After a rainfall through a crackling straight to the chin from the broad repertoire of the brilliantly placed boxing expert from Donzdorf and the fast subsequent task of a towel throw of the Bosnian corner, the 46-year-old Arslan of the European Championship belt of the WBO association was cruised around the hips - the 4500 Enthusiastic spectators celebrated their local matador with deafening cheers in the Göppinger EWS Arena and agreed with the Arslan camp: Their darling has once again confirmed his desire to be able to compete again with a world championship with a perfect performance.

On the other hand, a shrewdly prepared Firat Arslan increased the score. The local champion set his goals in an unprecedented and purposeful manner. Head- and body hits were now changing, right-left combinations made life difficult for the opponent, who had to put a lot in the course of the fight. While the 43-year-old Bosnian mostly looked to the forefront with too deep a forehead, Arslan increasingly used his hook variants and dominated all rounds. With a left straight to the chin, the Donzdorfer finally pushed his opponent into the ring dust, which, barely on his feet, faced a new blow, which the coaches put to the end with the task.

"I was in the mold today for a world championship, but I am actually every time. I would have also gone over twelve rounds, but this time without any overtime, "the old and new European champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) after the fight without bruises and dazzling, showed up," I am happy about a successful evening in hell South. "After all, the fans had appeared many times, and had supported their idol. Arslan friend and ex-heavyweight European champion Luan Krasniqi was also enthusiastic: "Today, Firat has done very well. That the Bosnian corner has responded so was right, the man was ready. "

Thus, everyone in the Arslan camp with their champion, and hopefully continue to hope for the struggling World Cup opportunity, which also organizer Erol Ceylan considers realistic. On the one hand, the Hamburg promoter sees Arslans chance as an adversary in the World Boxing Super Series with eight top cruiserweights starting in September with the quarterfinals and ending in May 2018, but also a WBO title fight after the conclusion of the super series, So Ceylan's plan. Arslan manager Okan Yavuz kept parallel the idea to compete against the WBA superchampion Denis Lebedev (Russia), who is staying away from the super series - a first contact appears to have taken place. Yavuz notes, "We're going against anyone who dares to go anywhere."

Firs Arslan listened to the legitimate praise and plans with a smile and the knowledge that he was able to be with him and his career even before his definitively last professional year. "I'll make my 30 years of boxing full in 2018 and believe in me, no matter how it ends up."

Easy money for Arslan... No record padder is going to beat this tough and underrated legend(in my eyes) criminally underrated. The 1st fight against Huck was one of the best performances by a 40+ year old ever. Should have been a clear UD for Arslan.

I can't find the interview again where Ortiz said that he fought against Pernell Whitaker but in that interview he said he fought him and won via split decision

Interesting. Ortiz fighting Whitaker (I suppose it must be in the amateurs) pretty much proves that Ortiz is much older than he claims. How old would Luis Ortiz be then?

Pernell Whittaker turned pro in 1984, so we are looking at a time before that. Ortiz claims to be born in 1979 so that must be impossible. Ortiz was likely a young teenager as he clearly had not fully developed (the bout was surely at lightweight). Let's say, for the sake of charity, that he is 13. Then Ortiz was born 1970 or earlier and is at least 47 now, not the 38 he claims. Could he actually be 50 already?

I really doubt Ortiz would be 50, 40 something maybe.
