This. Wilder's team came up with the rumor that he would fight Ortiz simply because they don't want to get blamed for the farce (Stiverne rematch) that will happen next instead. So Wilder's fanboys will point the blame on Stiverne claiming that Wilder wanted a quality opponent but the Haitian-Canadian blocked the fight..

Do you want me to list all the guys who got destroyed by far lesser but younger fighters at that age? If you want to be humiliated on this then I can happily oblige.

He gets a little credit from me but those saying all question marks hanging over his legitimacy will be removed by him beating Ortiz are way off base IMO.

I'd pick Ortiz to beat any HW except Joshua and Wlad so I disagree. But fair enough.

I'm quoting directly from Wilder. Not his puppet master. Guy thinks ped users should have their career taken away along with their money. Now he wants to fight a two time ped abuser. Stop with the bs spin.
Looks like it will be Stiverne anyway. As expected. This probably another smoke screen.

If Stiverne is the problem, he is so bad and shot at this point, why don't they schedule Nov 4 for Ortiz Wilder and an early September fight for the Stiverne fight. Make the WBC enforce quick purse bid etc quick enough to fit the timeframe. Wilder would be in no real danger of losing, the main fight could go ahead as planned.

I never claimed that being older is an advantage in boxing. Past a certain age victory over younger opponents becomes increasingly more difficult. No big secret. I was simply referring to your overgeneralization accompanied by your hyperbole.

    BTW

    Humiliation because you show what?:risas3:

My a discussion on boxing or any other subject worth discussing on any discussion forum isn't a matter of humiliating others or feeling humiliated. It isn't an antagonistic, adversarial approach. If ever I'm wrong I will simply and humbly admit it. It's just that in this particular case I am not-you are.

His last two performances would suggest plenty of others are in with a shot. Would you pick Ortiz over Fury, Parker et al?

Maybe not over the Fury that I saw against Wlad, but that Fury may not exist any more. But yeah, I'd strongly favour him over Parker.

He also said that Wlad/Joshua 2 was made and then backtracked and said that he thinks it's official.

I doubt Wilder's people will make this fight. They KNOW what would happen to me!

Here is Pernell Whitaker fighting Luis Ortiz in 1984. Clearly, it's not th same guy.

Want to hear something hilarious? Sam Peter's boxrec says he was born in 1980 and is only 36 lol There are pros who have stated they remember him as a sparring partner in NY back in the early to mid 90's.
