Excited for this assuming the match happens.

 

I mean the guy isn't a world beater but at the time he was a legitimate fight for Deontay i thought

 

IF Wilder's team actually let's him face Ortiz, I will be annihilated. Bet on the fight not happening.

 

It's his first real defense after 5 awful voluntaries. And his second top 10 opponent after Stiverne.
I'm not going to sing his praises because he set the bar so low everyone acting like fighting one top 10 fight excuses the last 4 years.
It's FINALLY. A step in the right direction and that is all.

 

If this is true i would say he has answered our question of "Whats this big announcment then?" This will certainly do. Although saying that i am 1 of the few that thinks Ortiz gets drasticaly overated. Even so, thats just my opinion and what ever my view it will still be the best name on his resume.

How I see it. Ortiz isn't the boogeyman but whatever, he's certainly the best guy Wilder is pretending to be willing to actually face.

 

Agreed. Ortiz is absurdly overrated. Old, slow and ponderous, he could be another Stiverne.

This said, Wilder has tasted canvas against some of his outrageously poor "opposition," so IF Ortiz is able to connect, that fragile mandible Wilder's packing WILL shatter.

Believe me, NOBODY was saying that about Malik Scott, Molina, Spzilka, Washington, etc. etc. We all know they were carefully-selected mediocrities!!!
