    @IsaL

I don't disagree with too much of that, but seriously how can you really judge any improvement since Cotto? He has fought very sub par opponents since then.

I will be the first to agree he improved from Mayweather to Cotto. But since then?

    Khan
He was being outboxed by Khan until the big punch everyone knew was coming.

    Smith
Really? Canelo looked good but how is Smith any sort of measuring stick?

    JCJR.
A drained zombie who was there for a payday and hasn't done anything of note since rocking Sergio in the 12th.

Seriously man..Canelo was far and away better than those guys, so how can anyone say or see any improvement when you are fighting that lower tier of guys

Canelo has improved since Trout, Mayweather, and Lara.

Since beating Cotto his level of opposition has taken a dip, but he's still looking better physically and better in things such as timing, conditioning, confidence, and ring generalship.

This fights is very interesting for all these reasons.

Floyd wiped him out, it was literally a shutout, 12 rounds to 0, maybe 11-1 if you're generous to Canelo Alvarez!

Having it 12 rounds to 0 or 11-1 is being very generous to Floyd Mayweather.

The judges had it 6-6, 8-4, and 9-3. Somewhere in that range seems reasonable. Only a heavily biased Floyd fan would seriously score a fight that close 12 rounds to 0. If you are serious about it being that wide, then I challenge you to participate in the detailed discussion of rounds and make your case for Floyd winning all these close rounds. Don't be afraid to go into detail to support your scoring. Tell us who landed the best punches in the rounds and if some of them actually landed "Upon Further Review".

And what about Floyd biting on all them feints? Canelo Alvarez was feinting this dude out of his shoes. I never seen someone bite on so many feints in my life, as Floyd did vs Canelo Alvarez. Canelo came in with a gameplan to feint Floyd repeatedly and it worked. The way Canelo set up those left hooks to Floyd's chin in Round 2 were clinical. Only an expert technician like Canelo Alvarez could so effectively feint Floyd Mayweather setting up jabs to the body, even with Floyd turned sideways and in the shoulder roll defense landing body punches in between the gloves.

Not only did Canelo land nothing in the entire fight, JMM also beat Pacquiao in all 4 fights. Irrefutable. Horn also BEAT Pacquiao, scored it twice, easy win for HOrn tbh.

Most pundits have it as such!

Yeah Amir Khans probs has never been his skill but his chin so no shame in getting outboxed by Khan for four rounds,I actually saw an improved Canelo after this in the Smith fight,he looks sharper and quick off the mark and his jab looked miles better,my worry is that he's not faced anyone who can bang at the weight

Canelo way too slow. If he had a broomstick, he wouldn't hit Floyd in the ass.
