They are on collision course and money shouldn't be a factor.

Ortiz is older than Joe Louis.

You answered your own questions to certain extent, you say "Not every fighter has a Canelo or Floyd fanbase."

Absolutely correct, let's take Canelo, who is getting paid more in the Golovkin Vs Canelo fight? Yet who is the Champion and holds 3 belts?

Sadly, Numbers and profile mean far more than belts now when it comes to purse/money, so Wilder having a belt means virtually nothing in a fight with Joshua on the purse/money side.

So if Wilder wants a Joshua fight he has to lower his expections when it comes to a payday, if he is turning down Whyte for multi millions what will he want to fight Joshua?

If Wilder really wants that fight and really believes he will win then he will take the short end but you know, I know and we all know he will probably ask for ridiculous money and basically price himself out.

Joshua owes Wilder nothing, Joshua can make serious money without him, Wilder can't do the same, he knows the only decent payday (in terms of big money) he is getting is fighting Joshua.

Wilder will have meaningless defences against the likes of Stiverne for a couple of million here and a couple of million there, means nothing, does nothing for his profile, reputation or image. It is down to Wilder to make this fight with Joshua by improving his opposition so people want to see the fight and also lower his demands.

It is not down to Joshua to accommodate Wilder, it does not work that way.

I have said over and over again i want to see it.
Im explaining why at the moment its not happening as far as im concerned. Its down to those reasons. I said aobut ten mins ago in another thread to Blizzy i want to see the fight as much as anyone else. So thats the end of that accusation. Nice try though.

But money is a factor, it makes the world go round and its the boxing business. If money wasnt an issue in boxing every fight would be 50/50 down the middle but thats not how it works. This dates way back before Joshua and Wilder. Its just how it is.

Here's what's going to happen with the Wilder Ortiz "fight".

Wilder and his team make vague announcements on twitter that the fight's on the cards, nearly signed, any day now, etc.

Ortiz and his team release a statement saying they haven't heard anything about any of this.

Stiverne and his crew start causing a ruckus about being mandatory.

Wilder's team reluctantly admit that they have to fight Stiverne, but Ortiz will be next, we promise!!!

Stiverne tests positive for oestrogen tabs.

Wilder's team reluctantly fight Breazeale at short notice.

Following the fight in which he labours to a late rounds stoppage Wilder releases a statement announcing an exciting announcement in the next few days. We wait with baited breath. Then the announcement. He's going to fight Luis Ortiz!!!

    Sigh.

    'Doesn't have the profile'
    'Brings no money '
    'Doesn't deserve it'
'Hearn should tell him to stick it'

Thats the talk of a fanboy casual.

If these people had a really good argument for Wilder they would make it, they haven't, they want their man to get something he hasn't earned and don't deserve.

For 38 professional fight in 8 years Wilder has a seriously poor resume and hasn't fought a top heavyweight.. let that sink in.. not a single top heavyweight.

So they will turn this in to "AJ is ducking" and "just because you don't want to see the fight" and "stop making excuses".

Some of these are the same people that when negotiations were ongoing between Golovkin and Canelo said Golovkin didn't really deserve anything and should just take what he is offered because he hasn't got the numbers, profile and resume to demand more.

Now it's their boy, well all of a sudden they don't care about numbers, profile and resume, apparently that all means nothing and they just want to see the fight so Joshua should accommodate Wilder and them.

The contradictions are amazing and the hypocrisy is stunning.

    Are you describing Canelo fans?

They are the EXACT arguments Canelo fans made for not fighting Golovkin.

The top two points you make are true, he doesnt have the profile and doesnt rbing any money, which is why at the moment he doesnt deserve the money he would get for fighting AJ and knocking back huge money to fight Whyte, Hearn should just tell him to come back when he has the profile for it.

This is my point as well, the fans (all of us) want to see this fight. But unfortunately its not how it works, the promotoers will do their job properly and maximise their fighters monetary potential and to do that against Wilder Hearn will expect (rightfully so) that he brings more to the table so is entitled to a decent payday. Dino we want this fight, we arent scared of the possibility of Joshua getting beat. He nearly got beat against Wlad and we didnt all turn off our tvs and start praying, it was exciting to see some of his vulnerabilities finally exposed. Hopefully Wilder (when it happens) can expose somethig else and make it another great fight. Its boring watching Joshua wipe out Molina and no doubt Pulev when that happens, we want big exciting close fights and hopefully Wilder can do the necessary to get himself in the ring with Joshua.
