I agree with all, except these points. No one wants to be friends with these guys. And he wouldn't be safe in many European countries if he and 10 bodyguards look for trouble.

 

I'm a boxing fan, I'll be rooting passionately for boxing over UFC, and will be devastated if somehow mma wins. I find it disturbing that a boxing fan wouldn't prefer the boxer to win.

I don't like Floyd as a person, especially his Money persona, but that's never led me to root against him. I watch boxing because I, you know, like watching boxing. So I've always admired and enjoyed watching Floyd.

While I haven't otherwise pulled for him, I have often rooted for him in fights because I've had money on him, Floyd by decision the last 10 years being easy money. Yeah it's a meaningless circus and I sure won't pay to watch it, but because it's boxing vs UFC and for almost the first time I have money on Floyd BY KNOCKOUT... this time I can't resist flat out waving the pom-poms with MVC

 

Hope they both get injured and the fight gets called off..... That's what I'm rooting for.

 

You should know better. It's sanctioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, it's an official fight. It'll be on his record, and on his legacy. The alphabets don't sanction fights, they sanction championships. It's pathetic that it's an official fight, but it sure is.

 

You could switch lives with many Lottery winners and feel the same way. Floyd is lucky he has what he has, same with the lottery winners, court Jesters shouldnt be worshipped at all.

 

Meh I wouldn't trade places with him.

All he really has is boxing...the biggest part of his legacy will be him essentially becoming a promoter and teaching boxing for the rest of his life.

He needs to ween himself off throwing buckets of money down the drain every month though.

But Floyd has a decent team around him...has money to make money and that will continue.

Lives in a bubble really but it's a bubble which can stay inflated for quite a while if he wants. Eventually all that amassed monetary wealth will trickle into nothingness...whether that happens in his lifetime or not who knows.

The trick is when you leave this earth to pass on what you have and really all he can do is leave his boxing knowledge which he will do. The Mayweathers have stamped their mark in boxing history...Will Floyd Jr have his own kids make it into boxing though? I doubt it.
