    Joe Smith Jr was the latest fighter to suffer a serious injury during a fight and not emerge victorious. Are there many examples of fighters winning despite incurring a handicap in the midst of a match?

    Reminds me of when Andrei Rudenko broke his neck at the beggining of the fight vs Alexander Povetkin and went on to see the final bell all with a broken neck.
