Manny Pacquiao Vs. Edwin Valero @ 135-140: Who Wins And How?!

Valero would have demolished Pac. I don't think Arum would have allowed the fight to happen. Valero had equal or better speed and power but with much better boxing skills and IQ.

 

Valero is a myth. He hardly beat anyone noted at lightweight.

 

That fight was supposed to materialize shortly after Valero's impressive win over Dimarco.

He had an average skillset with excellent power and he would've been a heavy underdog against Pacman.

 

Surely you can't believe this if you saw Valero fight. Most of his bouts weren't televised (he wasn't able to fight in the US because of his medical issues,) but the fights I saw of the guy- about 5 or 6 of them- he showed average boxing skills at best.

Pacman was a faster handed fighter than Valero. As far as power goes, it's hard to debate due to Valero's lack of top notch competition. Pacman has some pretty impressive stoppages in almost every division he campaigned in.

 

Yeah, because Pac is known for being a coward.

 

Was more proven at lightweight than Pac was. Valero certainly was no David Diaz.

 

Valero left a lot of unanswered questions but there was no question about his power.

 

That's true actually, Pac only had one fight. I guess Pac is more proven handling bigger guys at higher weight class

 

Pac's resume definitely gives him the edge vs Valero in any mythical discussion, no doubt about that, but a Valero win is certainly arguable.

 

I'd kill to see this fight.

 

I saw several of his fights and he was very overrated! His power was not as great as his record suggests. Manny would have kayoed him in 5!

Pac fought and beat bigger and better fighters, hell he beat MUCH better fighters even at Super featherweight. You've got not qualms with favoring a woman abuser and murderer out of purely spite against one of the greatest fighters of this generation. Pathetic.

 

pac was well tested to this point, valero not so much imho.
