    Mayweather
    Roy jones Jr (roid version)
    Wladimir
    Fury
    Ward

    Ali shouldn't be on that list when he used his head to block punches. The greatest defensive fighters don't leave the game with brain damage.

    Actually, Lomachenko is the best defensive fighter living today, perhaps in boxing history, but he also has an excellent offense as well.........................

    Locche #1 daylight 2nd. The only boxer who may have challenged Locche's position was Young Griffo.

    Pep, Sweet Pea, Floyd and - when you consider the effectiveness of his offence - Duran are the obvious candidates. James Toney gets overlooked though. One of the very select few who was able to use the shoulder roll properly

    Locche and Benitez as well. George Benton. Calderon. Loma. Jimmy Young. Bundini mentioned Wright. The Factor mentioned Griffo also. There are so many.

    Reflexes =/= defense.

    Roy was never a good defensive boxer... His insane athleticism and reflexes allowed him to get away with stuff that most couldn't.

    Locche's defence is not as multidimensional as other boxers listed here.

    James Toney had better defensive craft than RJJ, maybe even better craft than FMJ.

    Mayweathers defense relied on him running away most of the time so i suppose one could say his defense was on point

    mayweather is the best defensive fighter ever, never lost and never been knocked down and when he has been hurt he has been able to weather the storm and stay on his feet and then win the fight. (Mosley fight)
