Kovalev was reacting poorly very early on in the fight from borderline low blows. He even turned his back to his opponent these are signs that the guy has mentally checked out. Quit making excuses for him. I thought Kovalev was supposed to be a cold blooded killer? Atleast that's what I was lead to believe by his overzealous fans. In actuality what we found out in this fight was that he's very mentally weak and a bully. Ward is the alpha and Kovalev is the beta.

The stoppage itself was questionable, and there definitely were several low blows there.
But low blows or not, Ward got the better of Kovalev in this fight. He showed better stamina, tenacity, and utimately he was able to adapt where Kovalev wasn't. Kovalev himself admitted Ward was much improved in the 2nd fight. Ward's victory is sadly tainted but he has proven to be the superior boxer IMO.

The mass denial and delusion on display here is genuinely disturbing. If you want to see what genuine lowblows, actual nut punches look like, go watch Golota-Bowe. Wards body attack, besides possible the last shot where Kovalev being bent double obscured his vision, was completely within the rules. More than that, it was an absolutely beautiful display of body punching, To deny that, you are either a heartbroken fanboy, a Ward hater, or you simply don't understand the rules of the sport. In most cases on this forum, all of the above.

Ward has fought much dirtier than Maidana in many of his fights, he actually uses headbutt, elbows and low blows, on top of constant clinching. Maidana was pretty damn rough but nothing like Ward and yet you never complain about him. Did Maidana ever use debilitating illegal blows on Floyd? I don't recall that.

You don't have anything to say about the Kessler fight, one of the most disgusting displays ever. I'd rather get bitten once by a guy with a mouthpiece on through my glove than get repeatedly headbutted with full force or low blowed.

Your argument is that because Ward would have won his fights anyway, it doesn't matter that he was dirty and everyone is just crying.

Maidana was much dirtier against Floyd than Ward was against Kovalev. Nothing dirty about body punches. Another boxing 'fan' who doesn't understand the rules of the sport.

Maidana kneed PBF in their fight he head butted him hit him in the back of the head bent his arm low blowed him and even threw him down FFS. Maidana made Ward look like a boy scout. Yet I have an agenda? The difference is PBF didn't melt down he fought on and won the fight and Kovalev cried like a ***** and looked for a way out and got stopped.
