Based on observation I would say African Americans generally tend to be that way but not most African blacks. That could be the effects of selective breeding under the USA British slavery system where size and strength were prized qualities. Also the North European admixture added an element of height and brawn unlike the south European admixture for Latin American blacks who were not subjected to the same selective breeding policies.
Not to turn this into a race thing, but I live in Africa and concur. Most of the guys here are more long-limbed, athletic type builds than powerhouses.
This is an unfair comparison IMO, heavyweights will never look as good as lighter weights, they have to carry 16+ stone around, they can't move as quick etc. I agree that smaller weights look / are better technically.

AJ is chiseled and naturally a big guy but compare him to a bodybuilder or pro wrestler and he is no where near as thick... There are videos on youtube where he is with The Rock (who is also "natural" lol) and see the thickness difference... He is a naturally big guy who looks after himself + good genetics but it doesn't mean he is taking growth hormone of steroids... I'm surprise so many seem to think that given he isn't really that thick.... In saying this he may be taking PED's but they are not affecting his physic at all...
