Who currently would you consider as the biggest ducker in boxing?? Obviously its a somewhat subjective statement. One aspect that I think confuses many when it comes to DUCKING is the guy in question has to be a good fighter in the first place or "ducking" wouldn't even be a consideration. Thus in one way its a compliment as by calling someone a ducker you are claiming the guy in question hasn't YET fought the toughest match ups he is capable of. That aside its also a insult as calling a boxer a ducker is claiming he is scared to "step up" to the toughest levels. Anyways, who's your pick?? Mine of course is Wilder. I have NEVER seen anything like it. It annoys me. I seriously defended this guy on here a good few years back. In the early days it was TABOO for a member to dare claim Wilder had some serious potential despite his many obvious flaws. I didn't care, I could tell back 5 plus years ago that he hit UNUSUALLY hard and was very fast even when this forum had written him off as a joke at that time. My forum rep no doubt took a hit when I dared to side with some of the Wilder nut-hugger that he did indeed have some serious abilities even with his flaws. Mind you I never claimed he would become the lineal champ as I don't think he will. However, I did claim he had the potential to challenge the best one day. Well that was 5 years ago, I even supported him BEFORE he won his belt because I believed that he was still somewhat of a work in progress and should have been moved "somewhat" slowly. But holy crap, then he won his belt and since then he hasn't fought a top 10 fighter imo. What a total joke. Wilder should be tarred and feathered I say. Anyways, who's your pick as biggest ducker?
Wilder, by far.............somewhere there is a wino in the alley waiting to fight Wilder for the title, wow! Wilder has had five voluntary title defenses in a row!
Yeah I hear you, however, he has been knocked senseless already so at least he has challenged dudes that many thought were better than him. I think at this point in time Wilder is far bigger than Khan, no offence.
Wilder without a doubt. His career has been disgraceful for someone holding a title. I wanted to be a fan of the guy. Yeah he has flaws but was fun to watch; but, after winning the WBC belt, he has done nothing but avoid fighting anyone worthy.
What bothers you about Wilder? Why does he irritate you so much. What has he done to you? You *** alt EE supporters foh lmao.. I miss him already
Another vote for Wilder. And while I agree about the unfulfilled potential, the irony is he's been actually looking worse lately than in his early career. I mean, if you took the Wilder we saw vs Washington, he got totally outboxed for four rounds before his huge power came to the rescue again. At points against Molina he was going life and death. Duhaupas busted his face up. He's clearly above average and I agree his power is very good. But before he's mentioned as a genuine champion, nevermind an ATG (lol) he's gotta beat somebody worth mentioning.
Khan stepped up to Canelo and tried his best to fight Floyd. Whatever his sins (delusions, maybe) ducking ain't one of them.
Those two fights he wanted were because they were big mega paydays where would have nothing to lose as he would have been expected to lose. He ducked Thurman, Garcia rematch (when he was mandatory), Brook, Bradley and the Prescott rematch. I'm sorry but I will not hear any argument that khan isn't a shameless ducker of the highest degree.
Well, those are fair points I guess. Still don't think he's worse than Wilder though. The equivalent of Khan fighting Canelo / Floyd would be Wilder fighting Klitschko and AJ imho and he's going nowhere those two.
The reason why I'd have khan above Wilder, is because khan is now finished and there is no chance he will fight those names which I listed now for various reasons. At least with Wilder he still has time to take on AJ, obviously not Klitschko but he has the chance to take the big fights with some other big names in the mix in the future.
