Garcia vs Broner: odds closing as Garcia apparently struggles with the flu

    At one point Broner was 5/1, he is now 2/1 with most bookmakers.

    One of the reasons is that Broner seems to be taking this fight seriously, he's got his weight down to make 140 lb. Another reason is that people were thinking that a 4-weight world champion, who is the bigger guy, at odds of 5/1 was very good.

    But lately, there is speculation that Mikey Garcia apparently has the flu.

    Come on, he can't just hand over his "insider contact" that's the only remotely possible way for anyone claiming they know such nonsense.

    Broner has some coin coming in on him because he was a big dog and this is entirely a 50/50 fight

    The Flu? If it is that bad he can postpone it. No reason to fight with the flu.

    If he had the flu he wouldn't be able to stand up let alone fight,whoever reported this clearly doesn't understand how vicious flu is,even now it's a killer,I had it in the winter and literally floored me for six weeks

    I don't know how some fighters fight 12 rounds with the flu but it does indeed happen. GGG had the flu(may have been just a bad cold) going into the Rosado and still came out victorious.

    He's probably just a bit weak from making weight. Always hear this 'flu' excuse when a fighters had a hard time boiling down.

    You could be right. Ultimately it's impossible to be 100% sure of "flu" rumours unless they go to the doctor
