wow your so shmart! You really got me there. Or maybe sometimes its best to end a pointless debate with someone who refuses to accept reality and see things their way no matter the facts.

Maybe because Kovalev stopped fighting, sat on the ropes and appeared to have no interest in continuing the fight?

Actually that video showed just how delusional you are. It showed nothing even close to a protest. Then you bring up some heresay that he might of said something to the ref about it being a fight and wanting to continue which you have ZERO proof to back up. What i do see in the video is Kov sit on the ropes take 3 unanswered punches and the ref stepping in to protect a guy who absolutely was no longer fighting back or protecting himself. Weeks then helps him up puts his arm around him and says something to which it appears Kov responds. Weeks then turns and Kov goes back down again to which Weeks turns back and sees him on the ground again.

I'm not delusional, my point wasn't to prove protest. My point was to show that we don't know what was said between Weeks and Kovalev. You have no way of knowing if Kovalev protested to Weeks in the moment, you are basing your assumption on what you deem to be a lack of protesting body language from a fighter that just took possibly two straight uppercuts to the groin.

I already said there was no recorded audio, but I'm not going to dismiss what Kovalev had to say about it.

"He didn’t hurt me. I got tired, but I still wanted to fight. It’s boxing. I could have continued fighting, but I don’t understand what happened."

"Why did Tony Weeks stop the fight? He punched me low blow already a few times during the fight. … He didn’t let me continue to fight. It was an illegal stop. I believed and trusted Tony Weeks, but he did a wrong decision in stopping the fight.”

If you believe Kovalev is a liar the burden of proof is on you. I see no reason to doubt him, he did not look happy with the stoppage once he recovered from the low blow.

Factually incorrect. He didn't sit on the ropes until Weeks stepped in.

Because like any another fighter that got hurt with a low blow, Kovalev was holding his groin.

You do realize how absurd that is, right? We are saying the stoppage was BS because Kov was hurt by a low blow. You are arguing it was a good stoppage because Kov was hurt by a low blow...which is illegal. A fight outcome should not be determined by a foul.

Do you believe Riddick Bowe should have been TKOed against Golota, afterall, he wasn't protecting himself.

We don't know what they said to each other, and Kovalev has the body language consistent with someone hurt by a low blow.

Why dont people just admit that boxing is corrupt, and the disgrace that was Ward-Kovalev 2 was a foul fest, all thanks to corruption.

You are correct in that sense.
However i watched a youtube video at the beginning of fight instruction and I disagree on Tony Weeks assesment on where the legal line stop.

I think they are borderline. Based on how Kov reacted to punches without much mustard on them, they were probably on the low side of borderline.

Also, if Ward knew they were legit, why look to the ref? Uppercut his head clean off. He paused, leading me to think he kind of agreed that they were questionable.

When you have a guy in a position like that, defensiveless, go all Floyd on him and rock him twice in the face for the KO.

I'm afraid that is your point, as these are your words regarding the stoppage:

"Maybe because cause Kovalev stopped fighting, sat on the ropes and appeared to have no interest in continuing the fight?"

"What i do see in the video is Kov sit on the ropes take 3 unanswered punches and the ref stepping in to protect a guy who absolutely was no longer fighting back or protecting himself. "

I've pointed out to you that Kovalev did not sit on the ropes until AFTER the stoppage. And he was not fighting back or defending himself when Weeks stepped in because he was reacting as if he was hit in the groin, which replay footage confirmed to be true.
So what the question is..what is your point NOW?

obviously--no one said anything about those being fouls; my point was that we ought to expect the ref to be vigilant w/r/t low blows given that pattern

i suppose i'm also troubled by the fact that to justify the ref stoppage, the Ward fan relies not just on the fact that there were no low blows, but also on the fact that Ward has the kind power to put a fighter like Kovalev away with a body shot, particularly when there was no accumulated damage from repeated hard shots to the body by Ward over the prior rounds

I have seen the video in slow motion many times and the still pictures of SOB's illegal low blow below the belt, belly button, navel on the letter clearly below the belt, it was intentional, SOB landed with an upward blow, that is most effective to hurt the testicles. Tony Weeks is a damned crook and it shows. Bob Bennett refused to even review the low blow, Kovalev was cheated by crooks........

I know, I was one of the first people to bring that point up. But, given the fact that Kov was bent over, the punch was coming up and the trunks were baggy, it's hard to say it was a straight nut shot. Also, a lot of people are acting as if every body shot Ward threw in the last round was low. That just isn't the case! In fact, a lot of people acted like every body shot in the fight was low.LOL NOPE! Simply put, Ward found Kov's weakness in the first fight and exploited it perfectly in the rematch. Ward learned and adapted, while Kov got mad and fought the same fight. The results speak for themselves. Ward beat Kov both physically and mentally. I don't know what else to tell you!
