Wilder would have had Rudenko outta there in 3. After that Rudenko would be labled a bum. Not impressed with Pov. He is definately slipping or he's not juicing anymore. Either way he is no longer top notch!

Rudenko survived vs Browne, Fury and Povetkin. If AJ stopped Rudenko that'd be really impressive he knows how to hang with punchers

This. Rudenko has great chin. But Wach was proven not only vs Sasha, he was also proven vs Wlad who hit him with numerous left hooks and straight right hands.

Povetkin stopped Duhaupas faster and more impressive. (although took the fight on days notice)

Rudenko just clinched constantly to recover and prevent Povetkin from getting any sort of rhythm.

Povetkin got frustrated and got tagged a few times. Maybe even wobbled once.

It wasn't an impressive showing by Povetkin by any means, but there wasn't much Povetkin could do against that much clinching.

Wilder is jealous of Rudenko's chin.
Rudenko is his former sparring partner, he knows Sasha and his tendencies very well.

In my opinion he could have done more, but he just has not the skill required to do that. Look at that right upper he used when rudenko tried the clinch in the 11th, that's the proof he could have done more. But: 1) he hasnt the skill to do it consistently 2) Imho he was comfortable winning like he won. Actually I think he did fine, it was a comfortable victory for him, there was no reason to push, just enjoy the clinch and take the victory and the money, you will have more wars to fight.

I was impressed with Povetkin. At 37 he still had good reflexes, his feet were also still quick, he's still the best combination puncher in the division and his chin and stamina were good. I don't know how much the neck injury compromised Rudenko I would guess it had to, but he soldiered on. He held a lot but what a tough guy. I'm not sure Wilder beats Rudenko, he reminded me of duhaupas who gave Wilder a tough fight only bigger with a slightly better punch.

Thurman is just a placeholder between May/Pac retiring and Crawford/Spence taking over.
Still waiting on that KO btw.

Was that a juiced Pov? Probably! So that is a shallow, meaningless victory! Can't trust drug cheats!

    rd 1 10-8 Troyanovsky
    rd 2 10-9 Troyanovsky
    rd 3 10-8 Troyanovsky
rd 4 Troyanovsky knocks Di Rocco down heavily.. but for some reason the ref decides to continue. Troyanovsky sends him crashing to to the canvas again, this time he's out cold.. against the ropes in a fetal position.

Boy is Troyanovsky flawed! He's like a mini Kudryashov, hell..... I'd actually argue that he's the more defensively and mechanically flawed of the two. Di Rocco cracked him with some good shots(especially in the 1st round which was close knockdown aside) but didn't have the power to make him pay. Indongo win was no fluke... He's probably just the better fighter, although Troyanovsky would have a very good punchers chance should a rematch ever occur(and I wouldn't be surprised if it did in the event that he loses to Crawford)

rd 1 10-9 Povetkin(should have been a TKO) Rudenko essentially quit complaining about a muscle spasm(or w.e) with a minute to go in the round. The ref and commission botched this.
    rd 2 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 3 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 4 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 5 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 6 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 7 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 8 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 9 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 10 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 11 - 10-9 Povetkin
    rd 12 - 10-9 Povekin

    120-108 Povetkin

Solid.. but not amazing workman like performance from Povetkin. Should have been stopped in the 1st, but the ref and commission had other ideas. Rudenko showcased a caste-iron chin, and a few random bursts of energy(namely in the 7th where he tagged Povetkin with a few good right hands) but it wasn't enough to change the momentum of the fight.

What exactly are you basing this on? Wilder went deep with Duhaupas and Szpilka who are at the same sort of European-fringe world level as Rudenko. Also nearly went 9 with Molina who was stopped in 1 by Ashanti Jordan(who?), 1 by Arreola and 3 by Joshua. Rudenko showed a caste-iron chin to eat the shots Povetkin hit him with.

You aren't impressed with Povetkin? But are impressed with Wilder struggling with and dropping rounds to Szpilka, getting busted up(admittedly a dominant win) by Duhaupas en route to a late round 11(championship round) stoppage? But Povetkin completely shutting out the same tier of fighter and coming out unmarked is somehow unimpressive?

    Stop sniffing Wilders jock strap!

Lol where in my post did I say I was impressed with Wilder. I just stated that Wilder would have done better than Pov! As far as that mumbo jumbo you spouted on about Pov looking more impressive against the same opponent, please! Besides, Pov is a confirmed 2 time drug cheat! And here you are talking him up like he's something special. You're the one that needs to stop sniffing jock straps!
