Garcia vs Broner: odds closing as Garcia apparently struggles with the flu

Lol yeah I once read in the paper about the £20 note test which said if you have flu and you can see a £20 note from your bedroom window if you can go outside and get it you ain't got a flu,maybe a little over the top but it laid me flat and the only good thing was I could just sleep for days

 

You are one sad & sorry Floydette Alex I guess Pac had surgery just for the heck of it huh ? If Garcia does have the flu he needs to pull out. The same thing happened with Donald Curry in the Honeyghan fight Don was sick as a dpg overweight. Dave Gorman wanted to pull him out but Akbar Muhammad insisted he fought The rest is history

Having the Flu includes having a fever and chills, aching bones, headache, stuffed sinuses.
If he fights under those conditions he's an idiot and deserves to lose.

 

I agree with that. It's not the flu but the fact that people are starting to realize what Broner actually brings to the table along with his present mindset. I think that Mikey turned on the competitive switch in Broner's head and he is out to prove something to Mr. Garcia.

Broner makes 140 with room to spare (without looking like a zombie), so we have a potentially good fight... now this "flu" business suddenly gets leaked.

Hope the fight actually happens tomorrow.

It still doesn't pass the smell test. The timing of this "leak" is definitely not above suspicion.

If he lost to Broner, there will be excuses either way. Something tells me they didn't believe Broner would be disciplined enough to make 140 (again) the right way. Pulling out of the fight now would look very bad for team Garcia.

Good. Hopefully he gets over his sniffles before the fight. Either guy can win here.

 

I never said or implied that it couldn't be done. I even listed an example of a fighter trudging through with the flu.

But don't compare walking uphill to fighting in the ring. These are two completely different activities which do not require the same resilience and effort. When you are walking uphill while getting punched on your blind side of your face, then you can bring up your little hikes in the park.

 

Just gullible people falling for Broner's bravado and overconfidence.

If Broner was as good as his mouth, he'd be a five weight champion by now.

 

Broner actually looks wound up too tight and jittery to me. Regardless, Garcia has the power to change all of that (perceived overconfidence and bravado from your perspective).

What I noticed during the weigh in is that Broner looks physically weak as opposed to the way he previously looked.

 

That intensity can be double-edged.
