He's never beating a true top guy... DeMarco, Paulie, and John Molina are his best wins. Not impressive when considering the hype media and networks gave him.
All he has to do is not care about getting hit and throw punches until he gasses himself out by the end and he could have won that fight. but he doesn't because he lacks the killer instinct like so many others.
It's more than killer instinct he lacks. He has some serious flaws as a fighter which have been discussed to death on this forum. Even if he had a decent work rate and desire to throw those flaws would always see him exposed when fighting top opposition. He was always a hype job and never ever had the skills to succeed at this level.
I saw him as a Mayweather wanna be tonight that lacked the reflexes, speed and creativity. Everything he does is to copy mayweather, even outside the ring, with his emphazis on money "about billions" and even the way he brought money to the press conference like mayweather. In anotoher fight I saw him speaking to the commentators, like Mayweather did one time as well. He is basically a failed version of mayweather
I disagree with you guys saying he has no killer instinct or desire. He was in great shape tonight and very athletic. Best shape ive seen him in years. He just isnt that good. Thats his problem. Never was. Just an average guy. Match him up with hand picked guys who are small and he will do fine. But any elite guys will beat him.
Eddie Hearns summed it up best regarding Broner mentality...."Thanks very much for the money" This content is protected He urinated all over Broner: Reporter: Where does Broner go from here? Hearns: Back to his Bentley's and Rolls Royce's
This is one of the problems with boxing. If someone takes a couple loses everyone shouts retire. He got beat by the better man doesn't mean he has to retire. At least he's looking to fight the best. He's plenty young enough
His hubris got to his head and destroyed him. He thought by talking a lot of sh** and starting drama he'll become a star. Boxing stars are made in the gym by training hard. They're not made on social media. When Broner celebrates his 50th birthday he will think back and think of all the dumb stuff he did and all the chances at making good money he let slip by.
Yep, I think so too.He needs to be more versatile and more active. He definitely has the skills. He should have thrown double jabs and more body shots
One strange thing about this forum is that the posters from 10 years ago pop out from nowhere and come out with the most casual comments of all of us.
