Mikey Garcia Was Massive (!) Anyone Notice How Much Thicker He Was Than AB?!

I thought Broner looked a bit bigger...but if you want THICK then see Jarell Miller

Bro of was by far the bigger guy in there.. you could really see it during the face off while the ref was giving the instructions

 

I think he was also but I am not taking nothing away from his skills and his magnificent performance. He shut Broner down.

 

I think Mikey has more body fat on him. He is not ripped like Adrian. To get to 140 he has to ether put on more muscle or fat.

 

Mikey packed weight for this fight but Broner is naturally bigger in frame.
It's like saying a 6'6 180lb bean pole is smaller than Garcia.

Broner doesn't look as healthy as he once did just recently. Seems low on energy in the ring as well as compared to his other fights where his punch output was far greater. Should get a medical examination covering all bases to make sure nothing serious is sapping his strength. As for bigger, no, they seemed approx. even in size. IMHO

 

If that's the cause for that sickly appearance then the wise thing to do would be to retire. Reminds me of the film Requiem for a Heavyweight starring Anthony Quin where the protagonist, Mountain Montana is portrayed as a physically-damaged fighter. Once it's beaten out of you never get it back as the saying goes. That's one reason why Mayweather Jr has lasted so long-he avoids taking too much physical punishment. Unfortunately for Broner he could not duplicate that style. In fact, he never came near except occasionally when he totally outclassed or outsized his opposition. Another fighter who has become shopworn, as you say, is Packman. Yet another who had it beaten out of him is Meldrick Taylor.
