Reflecting on what Jamall Charlo would be saying if he visited this forum. Everybody is talking about Mikey and Miller but nary a word of the magnificent performance of Charlo. Even though Heiland came in with a bad leg, it didn't subtract from Charlo's performance. Is it because all the GGG and Canelo fanboys are shaking in their boots of what the future holds or did people just for forget that Charlo fought on that card. What's up?
if its talked about, then heiland fighting with polio has to be mentioned, and you would probably call it "hatin".
Oh boy, Jermall stopped a stationary one legged southpaw sitting duck who he had a massive height and reach advantage over yet still needed to tee off on for 4 rounds before getting the job done. No Canelo or Golovkin fan is scared of the man who needed a gift against Austin Trout.
All that says to me is that if you get in the ring with polio, you still gon get your ass kicked, same thing without polio.
You looking at who he stopped but I'm looking at the skills that were on display and by the way, Canelo is the one who got the gift against Trout.
His skills were magnified cause he was fighting a one-legged man, nothing to brag about. Not sure why you don't seem to understand that.
Canelo got a gift against a prime Trout who'd just schooled Cotto, Charlo got a gift over an old shot Trout who was coming off of almost being KTFO by Daniel Dawson, and Charlo didn't come close to dropping him. As far as skills go, how can you praise the skills of a guy who fought a punching bag? This thread was dead on arrival, and completely nonsensical. I'm not saying Charlo isn't skilled, but last night wasn't what I'd call a sterling showcase that anyone should be bragging about.
What I do understand is tunnel vision and that's what's on display in your post. Regardless of who a fighter is fighting, his quality will stand out because even if the mans leg wasn't hurt he would have got the same treatment.
LOL and I'm the one with "tunnel vision". You're actually doing a disservice to Charlo by bringing up this fight, it will only bring criticism.
Charlo's not to blame for JSH being injured. He's a good fighter and he did what you're supposed to do to when you're in there against an opponent that is severely handicapped. But everyone on here would've beaten that incapacitated cripple version of JSH. Even Stephen Hawkins probably would've managed to eke out a SD against him. I don't think anyone favoured a healthy, able-bodied JSH to win anyway. I know I certainly didn't.
Charlo is now mando so will have a chance to prove the OP or his detractors right pretty soon. We didn't learn much from him beating up a one legged Heiland though. All pulling a Cotto special tells us is that if his next opponent comes in with an injured leg and he's fully fit...
