Roland LaStarza a 180 pound fighter beat Marciano in their first fight and got robbed.http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Rocky_Marciano_vs._Roland_LaStarza_(1st_meeting)

Marciano also lost to Ted Lowry in their first fight and was almost knocked out. http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:19970

So if these 170 to 180 pound fighters beat him and almonst knocked him out. Wouldn't logic dictate Kovalev a naturally bigger and harder puncher would stop Marciano? Also wouldn't other equally or more skilled light heavyweights than Kovalev be able to beat Marciano as well?

If a blown up relatively light hitting super middleweight stopped him with body shots Marciano would wreck him.

Throughout his entire career, only three people survived getting KO'd by Rocky.
Every puncher meets that guy they can't KO.

Foreman didn't KO Peralta, wanna match him up with Kovalev too?

In reality, Marciano was a Golovkin level puncher, but 20lb extra frame, way more powerful, better overall puncher, better stamina, better pace, better head movement, and all time level warrior mentality and relentless determination.
And Golovkin knocked down Kovalev with a body shot.

So what do you think?

Foreman was having his 16th fight, Peralta his 91st.Gregorio had116 fights and was only stopped 3 times ,once way back as a light heavyweight by Mauro Mina when he was badly overmatched ,second again as a lhvy, on a cut eye by Pastrano,he was only stopped once as a heavyweight , by Foreman in their second fight.Even at the age of 38 he went the distance twice with Ron Lyle drawing with him in their last fight! Bad comparison!
Marciano hit harder than Golovkin why wouldn't he? As a puncher he isn't in his class,he doesn't have his versatility ,variety of punches and most importantly his accuracy, you rarely see Golovkin miss and never by big margins. His footwork is way superior to Rocky's and it allows him to get into range very quickly,he is very economical , if he throws a punch it usually connects.

Five men went the distance with Marciano,Ted Lowry twice,Roland Lastarza,Ezzard Charles,Don Mogard,Willis Applegate.

Lowry was Marcianos 21st first. Not a big difference from 16th.

Only three men who faced Rocky didn't get knocked out by him.

Golovkin is a far more accurate puncher. Rocky does have much better head movement, and his stamina of course is second to none.

Has anyone actually done punch stats for a Marciano fight?
Would be interesting.

Golovkin may be a bit more accurate, but I think Rocky was the better puncher overall. Theyr'e both very high up on the list of punchers. GGG still has time to alter his legacy as a puncher.

Lowry was also Marciano's 30th opponent with the same result!Lowry was a journeyman light heavyweight who had lost his last7 fights in one of which against 180lbs Rusty Payne he was sparked out! !. Peralta was the tenth ranked heavyweight . Peralta ,going into the first Foreman fight had not lost a fight in3 years and 32 fights, his last bout was a draw with Bonavena. After losing to Foreman he reeled off 5 straight wins all by stoppage before being stopped by Foreman for his only inside the distance loss at heavyweight.

Spot the difference?lol

ps Marciano wouldn't be stopping Peralta!

Saw an article a while back on box rec. Some guy did an unofficial punch stat on Marciano.....some of the things he found...he counted 691 punches in the Archie Moore fight in Sept.1955 from The Rock in 9 rounds...and he counted 100 thrown in the 15th round against Charles in their first fight in June 1954...& 89 in the 2 round fight against Harry "Kid" Matthews in 1952...

Cute story then you realize a blown up middleweight Archie Moore was pushing 40 when he fought Marciano. Still knocked down Marciano.

Also as usual with stupid Marciano fans you have no answer to why 180 pound Roland Lastarza and 177 Ted Lowry beat him do you?

Are you ******ed? Well you are a Rocky Marciano fan so the question was clearly rheotical. What does what you typed have to do with my question? Also as I said if Marciano couldn't beat Roland LaStraza and Ted Lowry 2 average skilled and sized light heavyweights then why would he be able to beat bigger most skilled ones.
