How did Charlo get ranked #1 WBC ranking mandatory by beating a cripple?!

How did that happen? How did Stiverne get to be mandatory for WBC without fighting anyone? Should Golovkin fight cripples?

Golovkin would have easily knocked out that cripple, so would have Golovkin gotten as much credit as Charlo for beating a cripple? No, Charlo needs to fight Jacobs next to get ranked #1, not a cripple! That fight should have never been allowed to have happened and then they made him take off his support tape! How sick can it get?!

When he moved up, they took his ranking from the weight below into consideration and agreed that Heiland fight would be to decide the WBC mando. Heiland is a top 10 guy and I don't see an issue with him as an opponent.

He passed medicals. If he cheated those medicals or whatever then that's on Heiland. Charlo turned up as agreed before the fight and won

Golovkin would have easily knocked that cripple out, hell, they would not even allow the cripple to wrap his leg for support, that fight should have never happened. Why not requiring Charlo to fight Jacobs, then there would be respect. They can't convince me that the unknown cripple was the #1 middleweight, he could hardly stand up. They knew he was crippled....................

Heiland was #1 in the WBC prior to Charlo. He's a guy that...pretty much had his ranking for a long time but he didn't do a lot to maintain it. It's pretty silly but those are the rankings.

    Jacobs is WBA.

If Heiland had been killed in that charade fight against Charlo, then the Commission Medical Examiners, the ringside doctor, and referee would have brought before the State Boxing Commission and grilled on why this fight even was allowed to proceed. The attorney representing the grieving family would probably win a law suit in today's legal environment.

The real question is why would a boxer feel obligated to fight if he's injured in that way.

Yeah, plus he's been waiting for a pay day since KO'ing Macklin. I feel bad for the dude because Heiland is actually not bad. Limited, but a decent test for world level

Heiland is a decent fighter, but he did nothing to gain that #1 position. Beating faded version of Macklin shouldn't be enough to get a title shot... So the main question should be how was that possible. What happened is sad for boxing and sad for Heiland as I don't see him challenging top guys anytime soon. But hey, there's still that 5th fight with Veron that awaits in his homeland!

He actually kinda got screwed in a way, forced into inactivity and low risk fights to keep and try to get lucky with being ranked high by the orgs (WBC) for quite a little while now. Specifically hoping for a Golovkin shot, I'm sure.

It happens all the time in boxing, the champion in a lower or higher weight class always is number 1 or has to fight the number one contender. Why you ask, because he is a chamion 2 so he leapfrogs the other fighters. Champion vs Champion always sells more tickects and gets more sponsors and PPV then other ranked fighters at that wieght , unless the other fighter is a beast well known, then the lower weight champion fights him , or leapfrogs to fight the champion.

I'm sure he expected a fully healthy version of Heiland. I'm not sure how you see it necessary to chastise him for doing his job.

Because the 160 pound division has been so trash that any decent to good fighter can and should be ranked high. You guys try to act like it's murderers row. It's a **** division of bums and glorified sparring partners like Andy Lee.
