The IBF as ordered a super featherweight eliminator between #3 ranked Billy Dib and #7 ranked Francisco Fonseca.

The current IBF champion is undefeated Gervonta Davis.

Dib close to earning himself another title tilt after going through some tough times the past couple of years.

Dib fought on the Garcia-Broner undercard only days ago. He was Garcia's sparring partner for it.

Okay so how many of these awful mandatories is Tank gonna milk before getting in the ring with some real comp again? I have a feeling Davis won't face a live body for another year or two.

Davis has a voluntary defense against Martinez to get out of the way before he even thinks about the winner of Dib-Fonseca.

22 year old Davis will take his time. I expect he fights another softer voluntary before this mandatory. Maybe straight away to the mandatory, depending when Dib/Fonseca gets scheduled to happen.

Davis is already committed to a voluntary defense against Martinez on the Mayweather-McGregor undercard before he even thinks about the winner of Dib-Fonseca.

the mandatory is just his luck. an the rocky fight is a undercard fight for a major event so did we really care ? i guess we do sense its gunna be so expensive we wanna see competitive fights. or do we ? would we rather see davis bulldoze rocky martinez cuz hes gunna rock him for sure.

but davis dont want none of lomachencko you can tell. and for that reason is why im not a real fan of his. hes damn good tho that davis is tho. he deff has the skills and that lil man power

I know. That's like 3 weeks away. If the Dib/Fonseca fight stalls in negotiations, goes to purse bid, etc before even scheduling the fight, I'm sure the IBF would allow Davis another voluntary and prefer Dib/Fonseca have to wait an extra month longer for their shot as opposed to Davis sitting around for months before the mando fight even occurs, of which after the winner will need time to recover.

Did they just pass over Farmer cause of the shooting or did he just not want the fight? Dib-Farmer had been ordered last month.
