Several indicators that he is splitting with Barry McGuigan, the most prominent being that he resigned as a director of Cyclone Promotions. No one has moved yet to dispel the rumours which suggests to me there could be an imminent split. Frampton owes the McGuigans a hell of a lot but a change of trainer/promoter could be exactly what he needs. He's gone a bit stale under Shane I feel, even when he beat Quigg and LSC, he didn't look like the Frampton of old to me. His last performance was obviously disappointing and missing weight recently doesn't look good. He appeears as though he's struggling to motivate him self under the current regime. Carl only has a a few fights left at the top level IMO. He needs fresh ideas and fresh motivation if those fights are to be a success. A move to Eddie would be great for him, the matchroom cash could set up fights v Selby and LSC in Belfast on sky ppv, huge paydays and huge opportunities if Carl is up to the test. Someone like Booth would do a great job with him I think. A split with the McGuigans would be an emotional one but it looks to me like they've took it as far as they can. Fighting on terrestrial TV is not where Carl wants to be at this stage of his career. He'll want the big money fights now.
The rumours are quite widespread. If all was rosy, surely Carl or someone would send out a tweet to rubbish the lot.

not really, first he resigns as a director of cyclone promotions then misses weight, then the show is cancelled and none of them have said anything on twitter addressing the rumours.
maybe he is making a change but maybe not to Hearn... Maybe he end up with Al Hayman and then we get the Lee Selby fight... I think too much water under the bridge to go back to matchroom?
Have you considered the possibility that Carl and his team just might be reluctant to give these "rumours" the oxygen if publicity, and are simply ignoring them, treating them with the contempt that they deserve, .......????
