I read an article a while back where Mayweather was quoted saying McGregor could wear any weight gloves he wanted, not any brand of gloves.

 

Maidana's specific gloves he was trying to get approved. The commission deemed the padding suspect and came to Floyd asking if he wanted to demand new gloves, he said yes.
