IF you are jelly legged against journey man Brezsilly, lol, and Grandpa WK who could not finish him because he was totally out of gas mid point into the fight it is a certain as death and taxes that AJ will wake up in the dressing room against Foreman, same with Tyson, it would resemble Tyson/Bruno to a T.

Well I don't think AJ would beat a young Tyson, but one reason I think he'd beat Foreman is because of stamina. I think AJ could last 4 or 5 rounds which is all he'd need to last because once Foreman would tire, AJ would have the power to put him away.

And factor in that Foreman wasn't too hard to land on for an accurate puncher. Plodding forward in a straight line to AJ might be a plan that backfires.

Foreman is too mobile and too quick for Joshua.
His pace is too high, with constant crushing punches.

    He KO's him inside 7

Too mobile and too quick? A younger Foreman had bursts of explosiveness but it seems to me that AJ is quicker and has the superior movement overall. And its not as if Foreman could just walk through AJ's punches . Ali wasn't a big hitter at all and he wobbled Foreman early. A right hand from AJ would do damage if Foreman walked in to it.

He was also confused style wise and a bit damaged mentally at this point.

That might be, but his power was the same and he was landing clean shots on Lyle early as round 2, in fact when the round ended, Lyle was on the ropes taking clean hooks to the jaw in succession. If Lyle was going to go early from Foreman's power, it would have been then.

I think regardless of Foreman's style, Lyle could take his power without collapsing as soon as he was hit clean. And I think AJ could take it at least as well as Lyle or something like it, but with more tools to repel Foreman and buy time to outlast Foreman stamina wise.

The Foreman from the Ali fight would have more than enough stamina to see AJ off for mine. Foreman at his peak went hard early and AJ hasn't exactly showed bulletproof stamina. He gasses badly for quite some time against Wlad.

I'm a big fan of his as he adds some excitement and potential to the division but quite frankly the hoopla post wlad has been ridiculous. His next few fights will answer a lot.

AJ has accomplished little in comparison to Foreman. Night and day difference in the level of fighter here.

Regarding Foreman Lyle watch the first punch Foreman lands on Lyle once Lyle gets up from being knocked down in round 4. A crushing left hook to the body that nearly breaks Lyle in half. Since Lyles back is to the camera it's hard to notice but its effect is real.

Try Old Foreman vs Joshua that might be more competitive.

Young Foreman knocks Joshua out in a couple of rounds.

Ffs didn't Whyte have him on wobbly legs with a left hook?

The Scottish dude also rocked him with a jab and Klitscko plonked him on his ass.

Joshua's chin has some question marks next to it.

    If its of any use.

Joshua was asked how he'd fare against Tyson (Mike not Fury) and he said Tyson would wipe the floor with him.

Have you watched Foreman?. He's one of the greatest at cutting off a ring.

I can imagine that if this were 1967, 50 years ago and if the internet and boxingforum24 was around, I'd be e-crucified if I posted a thread saying Ali would beat Dempsey or Jefferies. Or even insinuated that Ali had a snowballs chance in hell. There may have been calls to take me to the edge of town an stone me for blasphemy.

Any answer short of "Dempsey by brutal annihilation in 3" or "Jefferies by mass destruction in 1" would have gotten me in trouble.

I know Foreman has "old legend" status , but it's not beyond imagination that a 6'6 240ish pound power puncher with at least decent world class boxing skills and quick hands could have beaten him. And Foreman wasn't exactly a defensive wizard himself.

Foreman wouldn't need to make it to the "finish line." He would knock Joshua out in 3-4 rounds.

The AJ vs Ali thread went 77 pages and there are some good points made for AJ, some of which would also apply to AJ vs Foreman.
