Did we not do this two months ago? I don't remember us doing this in the middle of the year like we usually do. Usually there's a couple of different threads trying to pick the early contenders. Anyway, I'm a lazy lazy man and I don't want to have to sift through the 25 thousand fights that happen every year to find something to watch; so could somebody do me a solid and tell me what I've missed out on? The only ones that come to mind immediately when I think good dramatic sustained action are Joshua vs Klitschko, Santa Cruz vs Frampton 2, and Gonzalez vs Rungvisai. Was there anything in Eastern Europe or Asia that I should be aware of, or some classic domestic scrap in the UK? Did I suffer a massive head wound and forget something major? If I did, then please write a comment below to tell me what's up.
Some honorable mentions and possible contenders you forgot about. Miura-Roman Valdez-Marriaga Benavidez-Medina Corrales-Castellanos DeGale-Jack Lemieux-Stevens Baranchyk-Ramos Pacquiao-Horn Kudryashov-Durodola II Breazeale-Ugonoh Golovkin-Jacobs Gvozdyk-Gonzalez Berchelt-Vargas Khytrov-Aleem Taylor-Davies Eggington-Rodriguez Groves-Chudinov Eggington-Malignaggi
Brook-Spence, Liam Smith-Liam Williams, Price-Hammer (No joke, this was fun to watch and competitive)
My favorites this year so far: Jack-DeGale (although I felt Jack was robbed) Breazeale-Ugonoh Joshua-Klitschko
You should check out Tatsuya Fukuhara vs Moises Calleros, it happened in february in Japan and it was for the WBO interim strawweight belt. This content is protected
I thought the Rungvisai fight was a belter. Don't often get such non stop high-quality action. Look forward to seeing that dude again.
