I'm not writing Pulev off because of the Wlad fight. I'm writing him off because of what he has done since then. He crawled over the line against Chisora, someone I think AJ would smash to bits. And he looked like a shower of sh*te against Kevin Johnson, someone AJ has smashed to bits. He's too open/slow and AJ is too quick and powerful.
Pulev might make him look bad for a few rounds before getting bombed out. It'll be interesting to see if Joshua can out box him cleanly without any of the excessive holding and grappling Wlad used. I think its a good fight.
I don't recall WK holding Pulev at all. I do recall Joshua hugging WK grimly in round 6 at Wembley after he went crashing down from that WK right.
I seem to recall WK trying to grab on for dear life when Joshua was destroying him in the 11th...we all know how that ended.
Pulev hasn't shown the punching power, movement and chin to favour him over Joshua, a fighter need certain abilities to defeat Joshua which Pulev has not.
As I said, he was trying. He was down twice and wasn't making it out of the round regardless... Wlad is well known for is excessive holding in previous bouts, that's why a lot of people were surprised with his tactics against Joshua.
Maybe because you only ever watched the knockout on youtube . Its was an ugly fight with 80% of the rounds being all holding and grappling. This content is protected The footage shows Joshua evading , slipping and ducking shots while up against the ropes. Your memory isn't the best.
AJ better be careful since this Cobra bites! Honestly I don't know which fight interests me less, Joshua - Pulev or Wilder - Stiverne 2. A very tough competition.
Pulev has that pistol jab though, had Klitschko on shaky legs for a moment in their fight.. Pulev is the second best opponent that Joshua faces, dont count him out...
