He is on that Whyte, Breazeale, Miller level, probably a little bit better, bottom half of the top 10.
Truth of the matter is AJ is taking on the weaker of the two mandatories. So if he gets **** for this then he deserves it. Nobody believes this is a really competitive fight. Pulev always was one of the weaker "top 10" heavyweights. He'd be right at #10 or #11 if all of the top heavyweights were active just because he can barely outbox all the plodders that make up most of the below top 10 to top 50 area. Pulev though has looked mediocre in his last 3 fights. Barely beating Chisora, doing nothing to a shot Peter, and struggling against Kevin Johnson. He has good backing in his home country.
If he's elite or not depends as much on ones definition of elite as of his skill level. A better measurement is ranking, and Pulev is definatly top ten.
But Wilder doesn't deserve any criticism? You are ****ing shameless. Pulev is better than any of Wilders defenses. Does your hypocrisy know any bounds? Holy ****.
Pulev is considerably better than Stiverne who is probably Wilder's best title defense, Pulev would box Stiverne's head off imo.
Yeah I agree. Stiverne was actually being outboxed by Arreola in the rematch and an old Ray Austin before rallying to KO both.
Lol it is amazing how people don't complain when AJ fights bums like Kubrat Pulev. If Wilder would of fought him you people would be outraged. This is how I know most of you people are European boxing fans. You complain that Wilder doesn't fight a guy like Luis Ortiz so why isn't AJ trying to fight him?
You Wilder fans wouldn't understand what a mandatory is... Wilder has had so many chances to fight decent opponents, 38 fights and none of them are even on Pulevs level...
Oh yes... "You know" in your own little deluded world that you've crafted for yourself, you "know" a lot of things. Unfortunately outside of your head what you "know" doesn't go along very well with reality.
