Thankyou for that link now I can stick up when I hear how sad it is what happened to him. I find it damn humerous honestly.
-Oscar falling to the dark side has been a hot topic thats effected a lot of fighters and fans. -James Toney, Roy Jones, and Shane Mosley using steroids is pretty sad news -Multiple robberies of Sweat Pea and Glen Johnson is real sad -deaths in the ring are probably the saddest to me
What happened to Johnny Owen was very sad indeed as a couple of others have mentioned, simply because he gave so much in the fight and was 25 seconds away from the end before he got layed out, he was the most fragile looking man you would ever see and to see him fall like that you just knew he was gone there and then. Still upsets me a bit when I watch it even now.
The funniest Tyson quote is the one he dropped years later where he said something like "I wish I would've raped that *****." It was the ultimate WTF moment in a ton of WTF moments for Iron Mike.
He said something was before that along the lines of... (Found the quote) "No, I didn't **** that slimy [expletive]," wire reports of the interview quote him as saying. He called Washington, then an 18-year-old beauty pageant contestant, "a lying, monstrous young lady" and said he hates her guts. "She put me in that state where now I really do want to **** her and her mama."
ANY BOXER WHO GETS A SERIOUS INJURY OR LOSES THEIR LIFE IN THE RING IS TRAGIC, FIGHTERS FAILING TO WIN TITLES OR LOSING BY A 1ST RD KO FOR EXAMPLE ARE NOTHING COMPARED TO THE FIRST TWO THINGS.:thumbsup
