It looked like a greco roman wrestling match between two stiff planks.

Pulev is absolutely useless. He has no power at this level, a defence which consists of sticking out his arms and leaning straight back, fights in predictable attacks and rhythms, and doesn't have the strength or resilience to match Joshua in any facet of the game whatsoever. He has an ok jab, but that's about all he has going for him. He can't outmuscle Josh in the clinch, can't knock him out, and can't outbox him from range. Plus he's terrified to engage anymore since Wlad splattered him a couple years back, which means he'll likely fight the whole fight (for however many rounds it last, probably not too many) desperately trying not to get KOed while stinking the joint out in the process.

It's a mismatch from start to finish and the only plus I can draw from it is that it'll likely remove Pulev from the top ten forever.

Tell us again about how Pulev was going to beat Wlad?

Pulev's not been the same since Klitschko splattered him.

That said, I suspect even that version would struggle vs AJ who is simply looking very, very good right now.

Neither of them have an inside game, they both love a mid ring hug out when up close. Yeah there was a lot of clinching in this fight but when they weren't clinching there was plenty of action.

I am from Bulgaria and would definitely cheer for our guy ;) Realistically I can't see Pulev upsetting the odds here unless he is fortunate to land on Joshua's weak chin. I like AJ, impressive sportsman, boxer, character but he too is overhyped as far as pure boxing is concerned. I am not fooled by his win against WK because what he did was almost lose to a 41-old fighter who had come off a loss and had been inactive for more than a year. Fury really made it look much easier and less painful against a younger and "holding the honours" Wlad. I know WK prepared really well for the AJ fight but time takes its toll and one year was too much a lay-off for the 41-year old former champion! So as far as AJ is concerned he could be beaten and is far from invincible! As for Kubrat...this is his last big shot and he would strive to at least not make a fool of himself! So i am sure he would put in a performance. Whether it would be good enough to survive AJ's devastating accuracy and finesse remains to be seen but Kubrat Pulev is the kind of guy who would not go down easily and would use every trick in the book to stay alive in this fight. First i heard about him when he was just 16, followed his career ever since. In Bulgaria boxing is a sport that has given many honours at international level so we do have good schooling and tough guys. Kubrat's brother Tervel (bronze medalist in London 2012, lost to Usyk in the semis) is i think a superior fighter but not as stubborn as the Cobra. Kubrat would give every last drop of boxing he has in him so Aj should be prepared. So much for it i think Aj will win but will have to work for it in the ring. (if Pulev had a world title fight against Charles Martin you know who the winner will be, right?)

I think Pulev might give the AJ we've seen so far more work than many think but it's clearly a AJ victory in the making.

AJ is still not quite as unbeatable as he's been hyped up to, BUT... he is definitely gaining momentum. Once he's tidied up some things from the WK fight there is a reasonable chance that Pulev is going to face an even scarier AJ in which case, maybe this is where AJ makes a point that he intends on really going down in history.

Looking forward to seeing what happens.
