Michael Spinks asked how he'd beat Bob Foster

For sure, i didn't mention spinks durability because it's obvious. Some might bring up all Fosters stoppage losses at Heavyweight hence why i mentioned he never had a problem at 175. Of course Foster never met a man of Spinks power and pedigree, but the opposite is also true tho i consider Mustafa Muhammad a huge puncher at the weight.

I'd favor Spinks at heavyweight too with the kicker that he never fought the contenders Foster did. Foster fought two top 10 ATG's there and quite a few top ten contenders i would think. Spinks only has the aged Holmes.

Qawi was locked up at Rahway State Prison and if that prison sounds familiar, it was where they filmed the first scared straight in the late 70s. Qawi was incarcerated there at that time for armed robbery.

Rahway Prison was also where light heavyweight contender James Scott was incarcerated. Many of his fights were broadcasted on tv from inside the walls of Rahway. Scott and Qawi frequently sparred while Qawi was incarcerated at Rahway. Qawi eventually got out but Scott had a life sentence for murder. Here is Scott beating future Spinks victim Eddie Muhammad. When Tyson was incarcerated I wonder why Tyson couldn't fight from prison? It would have been cool if Tyson fought Holyfield, rematched Douglas, perhaps fought Bowe and Moorer all from behind the walls. It had been done before.

 

Yeah but the aged Holmes was bigger and better than some of the prime heavyweight contenders Foster lost to. Plus, it is my opinion that the Holmes that Spinks beat was equivalent to the Ali that Norton beat.

I think the rematch Holmes was a lot better better prepared than the woeful version of the initial match tho. I had spinks a non controversial winner in the first and Holmes non controversial winner in the second.

Bob definitely didn't go too well at Heavy. I've read some good debate in here years ago tho that he did a little better than it looks on paper. I dare so that thread would be gone now.
