Its probably a good thing that Pinoy dropped the Singh-Maimaitiali match, I confidently picked Maimaitiali and in the 10th round of the match the Indian commentators were openly saying I wonder if the judges can come to Singh's rescue here. (Nothing more damning than a statement like that) And they did. So it saved me from taking another prideful loss.
Singh is a joke. He talked all sorts of **** about how he was going to beat the hell out of Maimaitiali. Was glancing at Boxrec the other day and thought to myself that this should have been here(admittedly I didn't envision the upset) Read about Singhs legal problems outside of the ring. Like Khan he appears to be a complete piece of ****. Probably won't have the spine to rematch the Chinese(Tatar?) fighter.
Yeah I covered some of his shittier qualities in my thread on him. He's a complete hypejob, he struggled against Hope as well, and that's a really troubling sign. I watched a few rounds of Maimaitiali and realized he'd be a huge issue for Vijender, and no I doubt he'll give him the rematch.
It says a lot about a guy when he can't stop Kerry Hope, who had four stoppage losses on his ledger at the time he fought Singh. From what I saw of Singh vs Hope, Singh landed a significant amount of shots, and Hope just walked through them all. Here is a guy who should be at 160, but appears to lack the discipline to buckle down and make 160. Nevertheless, whether it's at 160 or 168, he gets utterly worked over and stopped as soon as he steps up to fight someone of Commonwealth or even decent European level.
Honestly think that a fight with Khan at 160 or above would probably be fairly competitive, and might tip Khan to win despite the massive size disadvantage. Singh wouldn't win a round against Canelo... Khan was actually able to knick a couple.
@nellybc are me and @Dfaulds going to get robbed of a first-round knockout win with our Herrera SD picks? If so, I highly suggest that rule be amended for future WBK fights.

Really considering taking off the "anyone can challenge" rule I implemented last year or early this year.....didn't know there will be individuals such as @JordanK2406 that will keep on challenging just for the sake of challenging, padding @Drinquor's people's championship record.... Just a thought right now though.
If there was a change to this rule then it must have happened mid 2016, right after the first LSC vs Frampton fight; if it is to be changed again, it should be changed to a kd rather than a ko, imo.
