How tall was "Iron" Mike Tyson for real?

Sort of related by Korolev, the top Russian amateur when Louis was champ, was 5'9" and 212, he was built a lot like Tyson.

 

I know for SURE...when I was in Atlantic City, just b4 his fight with Spinks, I met him walking on the boardwalk, I am 5'11 ", and he was ATLEAST 1 1/2 - 2 " shorter than me..I gie him 5'9 1/4 " AT BEST :good

1,79 ( close to 5 feet and 10 inches )

 

I've had my photo taken standing next to him a couple of times.

I've always believed we were the same height (5'10 or 178cm) but just taking a look at the photos in one he may be a tiny bit taller.

So 179cm or 5'10 and a half looks right on the money.

 

He once answered the question in an interview, but I can't remember the answer I think he said 5 10 1/2

 

Some people have gone overboard assuming how short Tyson is.

That was a backlash imo from him being listed at 5.11 when he was really half a inch or so shorter.

 

5'10-5'11 in his prime, nowdays probably 5'9''. Doesn't matter anyways.

 

Nobody that has fought as many times professionally (many of them high-profile affairs on PPV with the entire globe watching) as Mayweather or Tyson with your actual measurements a real "mystery". Any so-called height controversy is complete paranoid tin foil hat nonsense made up by a vocal, nutty minority. Kid Dynamite is pretty much on the nose 5'10" and PBF is 5'8", no if's and's or but's.

Seems like anywhere from 5'9 to 5'11. With a skeletal girth of a 7 footer.

The funny thing is, looking at the HW champs before Tyson, Tyson out weighed damn near all of them!
