Good post. One things wrong though...Calzaghe at the start of his career was a far heavier puncher than the calslappy tag he was given. His hands were ****ed very early in his career which resulted in him going for more volume than power...Testament to his ring iq imo that he could forge out an atg career with such a problem.

It's so weird because neither Walters nor this guy did he land many clean punches on and neither guy was really taking a beating.
Loma just didn't respect Marriaga whatsoever. Remember with Walters, he was boxing very strictly and only started toying when he had well and truly figured Walters out? Loma didn't even care to invest enough into his gameplan of figuring Marriaga out properly, he was toying him at the same time. Because the truth is, the Loma-Walters fight was BORING AF, so Loma probably felt he had to go out of his way to entertain the fans.
I agree...There are ways to make a guy give up without KDs or worse a KO. You use more gas trying to defend and Bob and weave from him even if he lacks KO power. The RED warning I did notice last night was how open Lomo is when he throws that mid-range uppercut as a strong counter puncher will buzz if not stagger Lomo.
