Of course they have financial ambitions but someone like Gervonta would be boxing for tuppence too - Gervonta has enough money for journeymen to be comfortable and live full lives, but he's still after money at the expense of legacy and ripping it from others. People stay in the amateurs for free.
I BLAME YOU, BECAUSE YOU ARE AN ENABLER OF THIS CULTURE.

Someone like Adrien Broner is world level - he doesn't work as hard as many boxers who earn tuppence.

It's not that serious really, a big part of this is me just messing around, but still...Gervonta is a black mark on this sport and needs to be eradicated. He is of the Deontay Wilder and Billie Joe Saunders mould.

You're not even a boxing fan, just a totally irrational fanboy. I think you just have a lot of growing up to do.

Think about it for a second:
Person 1 claims a champion should respect boxing if he is going to remain champion. He should do this by fighting the other champions. If he wants to develop his game, he should vacate his belt, to respect the title of 'champion', and use his big name now to fight people who will help him develop his game further and gain the experience he requires. At least he was able to say he earned the title at age 21 and was the second youngest boxer (after Inoue) in a while to be champion at a younger age - he achieved what he wanted. There were many boxing champions by age 21.
By milking the belt, he is making a mockery of this warrior sport.

Person 2 states he should be able to fight whoever he wants and should look at it from more of a business perspective. Even though he is a champion, there is no reason for him to act like a champion by fighting the other champions, instead he should milk the belt for experience before fighting the champions (waiting until the best champion in his division gets old which is in around 3 years) even though he could vacate and do the same, allowing the other champions to fulfil the ambition of a champion. We should never say anything bad about a man who is milking a belt and stating that legacy is not important and making money is important.

    Conclusion:
Person 1 is a boxing fan.
Person 2 is a fanboy of a PrettyBoySwag hood culture and thinks there's some pizzazz/status in being recognised in a boxing forum as thinking in a 'business minded' manner.

Seasoning? He's not a ****ing soup!
    He's a world champion!
Davis is just another Adrian Broner. Can't believe I had to argue with clueless people on here who thought Broner would beat Garcia. And it looks like the same is going to happen with Davis vs lomachenko.
Davis is not and never will be on lomachenkos level! Get It in to your thick skull!

Davis tends to average around 58 punches per round. So in a fight with Loma, he'd either be throwing an average of 28 or 29 punches per round while getting eluded and picked off and showboated on by Hi-Tech Vasyl, or he'd attempt to up his output against an elusive target, which would merely cause Davis to run out of gas quicker. Lomachenko gives Davis a harsh boxing lesson however you care to look at it -- not that there's any shame in being schooled by Vasyl Lomachenko.

Davis is a top fighter. Your right there is no shame in getting beat by lomachenko. He will embarrass a few world class boxers before he retires.

Person 3 thinks is willing to watch Davis develop and increase his profile this year and then hope that he'll be able to unify in the year that follows. If not, he'll be open to criticism...depending on who, and how often, he fights. In the meantime, beating an undefeated titleholder, an undefeated mandatory in the latter's backyard, and a multi-time titleholder who happens to be one of Loma's better scalps isn't a bad way to begin a championship reign.
