Is it just that Canelo is 8 years younger?

    Great upper body defensive technique.
    Equal or better hand speed.
    Better Counter puncher.
Mexican. (Mexican stereotype in boxing is that they're very tough)

Fast hands, good defense, good chin, respectable punch power, great punch combinations...not enough to beat GGG

A good beard and the knowledge that if he finishes the fight on his feet, he will probably get the decision.

Canelo has a varied capacity with his jab and he`s a brilliant counter puncher, if you can pressure GGG you can be effective, countering an opponents punches puts pressure on them.

Looks to have a good chin no doubting that but I've been re watching a lot of his fights lately as far back as Hatton and the commentators in every fight all said the same thing about his opponents not having the size/power to trouble him.
If there's a difference between 154 and middleweight at 160 and he happens to be facing the hardest puncher at that weight class then his beard will have to be very good as it will be tested.
Canelo would be best targeting the body in my opinion as it would be something that nobody else has exploited and if he can do that who knows but in all honesty after three rounds maybe all Canelo I just see GGG walking him down with that chin tucked in and at some point blast away as its all he knows and for all those getting carried away with Canelos speed look what happened to the slick Willie Monroe, timing beats speed every time in my opinion.

He lacks the one thing that will get him killed, lateral movement

Nothing. GGG is busier than Canelo. He throws a lot more punches in a round than Canelo does. Besides, GGG hits harder than Canelo. So, Canelo will get his ass kicked in this fight.

Do you know what really saddens me?? The fact that EVERYONE,
Canelo fans too, EXPECT Canelo will get a decision win if he is still standing at the final bell. Everyone EXPECTS Corruption This makes boxing no better than pro wrestling
$$$$$$ & influence bring a fighter success more than pure skill

But is Canelo a pressure fighter? He lets the fight come to him, and that could prove dangerous waiting for the perfect shot that GGG very well may laugh at anyway. If he lets GGG tee off on him to try to counter, he could eat one too many bazookas.

If he does pressure GGG, how many guys have you seen do that effectively against him? Most have mild success early before getting broken physically and mentally.

I know what attribute he doesn't have though:
No One punch power, no physical size and lazy footwork.

It's an uphill battle for canelo.

El Pollo knows that he has the boxing commission on his side, Bob Bennett will be his cheerleader, he will also have the judges and referee on his side. All El Pollo has to do is survive to get a decision, everyone knows that. Can the referee keep Golovkin off El Pollo? Will the ref be Toney weeks? If so, we can expect El Pollo to land a testicle blow, then Weeks will jump in and stop the fight. Bob Bennett will lie about the low blow and refuse to review the replay. Boxing is very corrupt, that's the reason instant replay is not allowed. Hell, you can't even interview the referee! It's time for boxing fans to demand honest boxing for a change....................... they have been getting away with bad decisions for many years now, esp. Vegas! Still, I expect Golovkin to knock El Pollo out, El Pollo has a rematch clause and Golovkin does not..............
